  • Timberwolves' Terrence Shannon: Starting Saturday

Shannon will start in Saturday's preseason game against the Heat.

Shannon is getting the start with Anthony Edwards (rest) taking the night off. In two starts last season, Shannon averaged 17.0 points and 4.0 assists per contest.

  • Jabari Walker PF | PHI

76ers' Jabari Walker: Starting vs. Boston

Walker is in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Celtics.

Walker is one of the players who will benefit from the Sixers resting several projected starters in this contest. The former second-round pick is expected to be a frontcourt backup in the regular season but will have the chance to show what he can do with an expanded role.

  • LaMelo Ball PG | MIN

Timberwolves' LaMelo Ball: Not playing Saturday

Ball (rest) has been ruled out for Saturday's preseason game against the Heat.

Ball will get a breather Saturday, with Bones Hyland and Terrence Shannon get the start in the backcourt. Ball's next chance to take the floor is Monday against the Knicks, though his playing time will likely be limited until the Timberwolves' regular-season opener against the Heat on Wednesday, Oct. 21.

  • Bones Hyland PG | MIN

    Timberwolves' Bones Hyland: Starting Saturday

Hyland is in the starting lineup for Saturday's preseason matchup with the Heat.

Terrence Shannon, Jaylen Clark, Trey Lyles and Joan Beringer will join Hyland in the first unit for Saturday's exhibition. The Timberwolves are sitting out seven players, so Hyland could see quality minutes Saturday.

  • Ben Simmons SG | SAC

Kings' Ben Simmons: Set for preseason debut

Simmons (not injury related) will play in Saturday's preseason game against the Warriors, James Ham of ESPN 1320 Sacramento reports.

Simmons will finally step on the court for the first time since joining the Kings in the offseason. It remains to be seen whether he'll get the starting nod for this preseason court, but just seeing him on the court is a positive news given the injury issues he had in recent years.

  • Keegan Murray PF | SAC

Kings' Keegan Murray: Cleared to play Saturday

Murray (undisclosed) is available for Saturday's preseason game against the Warriors, James Ham of ESPN 1320 Sacramento reports.

Murray was sidelined for each of the Kings' first two preseason games, but the fifth-year pro has been given the green light to play in Saturday's contest. He was limited to only 23 regular-season games during the 2025-26 campaign, but he entered training camp fully recovered from a left ankle injury that required surgery in mid-May.

  • Kings' Dylan Cardwell: Idle for Saturday's preseason game

Cardwell (rest) has been ruled out for Saturday's exhibition game against Golden State, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reports.

Cardwell will get a breather Saturday, and his absence opens the door to more playing time for Alex Karaban, Precious Achiuwa and Daeqwon Plowden. Cardwell's next opportunity to play is Tuesday against Portland.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Won't play Saturday

Sabonis (undisclosed) is out for Saturday's preseason game against the Warriors, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reports.

This will be Sabonis' second straight missed preseason game, and the Kings have not yet listed an injury for him. His next chance to play will come Tuesday against Portland. Maxime Raynaud and Precious Achiuwa should see a boost with Sabonis unavailable.

  • Malik Monk SG | SAC

Kings' Malik Monk: Won't play against Golden State

Monk (rest) has been ruled out for Saturday's preseason game against the Warriors, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reports.

Monk will be idle for a third consecutive preseason game. His next chance to play is Tuesday against the Trail Blazers, but it's possible that the Kings keep the veteran guard off the floor until the team's regular-season opener against the Clippers on Wednesday, Oct. 21.

  • Warriors' Yaxel Lendeborg: Starting vs. Sacramento

Lendeborg (rest) is in the Warriors' starting lineup against the Kings on Saturday, Danny Emerman of SFStandard.com reports.

Lendeborg was rested for Wednesday's preseason game against the Trail Blazers, but the rookie first-rounder will be in the Warriors' starting five for Saturday's contest. The Michigan product is attempting to carve out a consistent role for himself for the 2026-27 season, and he has a path to do so seeing as both Jimmy Butler (knee) and Moses Moody (knee) are expected to be sidelined for a sizable chunk of the upcoming campaign.
