Magic's Anthony Black: Practices Sunday
Black (ankle) participated in Sunday's practice and has been progressing in his ramp-up process, Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel reports.
Black has been limited by a sprained ankle in training camp but is trending in the right direction ahead of Wednesday's preseason opener against Memphis. He's coming off a breakout season in 2025-26, averaging 15.0 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 2.1 combined steals-plus-blocks in 29.8 minutes per contest across 64 regular-season games (40 starts). He's expected to operate as the club's top reserve in 2026-27.

Key contributed 15 points (5-9 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT) and one rebound across 16 minutes in Saturday's 129-105 preseason loss to the Heat.
The 27-year-old guard didn't play in the first half but turned in an efficient performance from beyond the arc in the second, tying RJ Barrett for the team lead in scoring in Toronto's preseason opener. Key is signed to an Exhibit 10 contract and will continue fighting for a spot on the Raptors' regular-season roster in the preseason.

Mbeng didn't see the floor in the first half but was effective in the second. The 23-year-old was one of seven Heat players to score in double figures and also tied for the team high in steals. Mbeng is signed to an Exhibit 10 contract and will continue trying to make a positive impression in the preseason.

He's expected to play a sizable role with Miami's second unit and could take on increased ball-handling duties in his third year in the league.

Quenton Jackson SG | IND
Pacers' Quenton Jackson: Not scrimmaging Sunday
Jackson (undisclosed) won't participate in Sunday's scrimmage, Tony East of Forbes.com reports.
It's unclear why the 28-year-old isn't participating in Sunday's scrimmage, and he's joined by T.J. McConnell (undisclosed), Larry Nance (hamstring) and Johnny Furphy (knee) on the sidelines. Jackson can be considered questionable for Wednesday's preseason opener against Minnesota until further notice.

T.J. McConnell PG | IND
Pacers' T.J. McConnell: Won't scrimmage Sunday
McConnell (undisclosed) will not participate in Sunday's scrimmage, Tony East of Forbes.com reports.
It's unclear why McConnell is sitting out the scrimmage. The veteran point guard can be considered questionable for Wednesday's preseason opener against the Timberwolves until the Pacers offer an update on his status.

Larry Nance Jr. PF | IND
Pacers' Larry Nance: Not scrimmaging Sunday
Nance (hamstring) won't participate in Sunday's scrimmage, Tony East of Forbes.com reports.
Nance has been limited in training camp thus far due to a hamstring injury, though there's optimism he'll be a full participant soon, per East. The veteran big man can be considered questionable for Wednesday's preseason opener against Minnesota until more information comes to light.

Klay Thompson SG | MIA
Heat's Klay Thompson: Held scoreless in preseason opener
Thompson recorded zero points (0-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and two rebounds across 13 minutes in Saturday's 129-105 preseason win over the Raptors.

Nate Bittle C | TOR
Raptors' Nate Bittle: Doesn't play Saturday
Bittle (foot) did not play in Saturday's 129-105 preseason loss to the Heat.

Alijah Martin SG | TOR
Raptors' Alijah Martin: Doesn't play in preseason opener
Martin (knee) didn't play in Saturday's preseason game against the Heat.
Martin missed the Raptors' Summer League finale on July 19, and he didn't play in the preseason opener either. However, even if he's cleared to play before the regular season starts, he shouldn't be a regular member of the rotation. Martin appeared in just 23 regular-season games in 2025-26, averaging just 6.3 minutes and 2.2 points per game.
