  • Ryan Rollins SG | MIL

Bucks' Ryan Rollins: Scores 15 before fouling out

Rollins supplied 15 points (6-12 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block across 14 minutes in Monday's 116-97 preseason loss to the Timberwolves.

Rollins was Milwaukee's most productive scorer despite lasting only 14 minutes before fouling out, leading the Bucks with 15 points while shooting 50 percent from the field. The six fouls stand out, but Rollins' aggressive offensive performance was one of the brighter developments from Milwaukee's preseason opener. Fantasy managers would be wise not to overreact to just one game in preseason, and Rollins figures to have a sizable role once the regular season begins later this month.

  • Tyler Herro PG | MIL

Bucks' Tyler Herro: Scores 11 in preseason debut

Herro recorded 11 points (3-9 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT), three rebounds and three assists across 19 minutes in Monday's 116-97 preseason loss to the Timberwolves.

Herro struggled from the field overall but did connect on two of four attempts from beyond the arc, including back-to-back threes during the opening quarter. The veteran guard also chipped in three rebounds and three assists, though his four turnovers were a team high. Herro should have plenty of opportunities to handle the ball and create offense for Milwaukee, so establishing chemistry with his new teammates will be one of the main storylines to monitor throughout the preseason. Even if Ryan Rollins or Kevin Porter start next to him in the backcourt once the regular season begins, Herro should handle a sizable role of the playmaking in a new-look Bucks team.

  • Kyle Kuzma PF | MIL

Bucks' Kyle Kuzma: Goes scoreless from field Monday

Kuzma managed one point (0-6 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds and one assist across 20 minutes in Monday's 116-97 preseason loss to the Timberwolves.

Kuzma endured a forgettable shooting performance in Milwaukee's preseason opener, missing all six of his field-goal attempts and scoring his only point at the charity stripe. He did grab five rebounds and notably finished without a turnover, but there weren't many positives offensively. Kuzma remains positioned for a significant frontcourt role after drawing the start Monday, and there's little reason to read much into one poor shooting night during the opening game of the preseason.

  • Jabari Walker PF | PHI

76ers' Jabari Walker: Double-doubles off bench Monday

Walker recorded 11 points (4-9 FG, 3-5 3Pt), 11 rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block across 19 minutes off the bench in Monday's 120-97 preseason win over the Knicks.

Walker made his presence felt on the glass, finishing with a game-high 11 rebounds and joining Saint Thomas as one of two Philadelphia players to record a double-double. Walker also provided perimeter production, connecting on three of five attempts from beyond the arc, and contributed defensively with a steal and a block. Walker's ability to provide frontcourt depth while stretching the floor gives him a useful skill set as he attempts to carve out consistent minutes in Philadelphia's rotation.

  • Caleb Love PG | PHI

76ers' Caleb Love: Provides spark off bench Monday

Love supplied 15 points (4-10 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 4-6 FT), three rebounds, six assists and two blocks across 23 minutes off the bench in Monday's 120-97 preseason win over the Knicks.

Love ranked second on the team in both points and assists, and the promising playmaker made a good impression in his first taste of preseason action. The two-way guard faces plenty of competition for regular-season opportunities in Philadelphia's backcourt, but his combination of shotmaking and secondary playmaking made for an encouraging preseason showing.

  • VJ Edgecombe SG | PHI

76ers' VJ Edgecombe: Hands out seven assists Monday

Edgecombe supplied 12 points (4-9 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 4-5 FT), four rebounds and seven assists across 20 minutes in Monday's 120-97 preseason win over the Knicks.

Edgecombe was one of six Philadelphia players to score in double digits in this preseason opener, and the second-year guard also led the team in assists, showing what he can do when given the keys to a bigger playmaking role. He isn't expected to have that same role once the regular season starts, though, as he'll share the court with accomplished playmakers who weren't available for this preseason tune-up, such as LeBron James (rest) and Tyrese Maxey (rest).

  • Knicks' Mikal Bridges: Quiet in preseason opener

Bridges recorded three points (1-5 FG, 1-2 FT), three rebounds and three assists across 15 minutes in Monday's 120-97 preseason loss to the 76ers.

None of the Knicks' projected five starters logged more than 15 minutes in this preseason opener, but it'd be a stretch to say Bridges did too much -- he was one of three starters who scored five or fewer points. Bridges is an established veteran who's locked into a starting role ahead of the 2026-27 regular season opener against this Philadelphia team on Tuesday, Oct. 20.

  • Knicks' Jalen Brunson: Scores 12 points in preseason loss Monday

Brunson registered 12 points (4-8 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and three assists across 15 minutes in Monday's 120-97 preseason loss to the 76ers.

Brunson reached double figures despite playing only during the first half, but most importantly, he was able to handle the workload with no issues after undergoing left wrist surgery in the offseason. The Knicks have little reason to push their star point guard during exhibition play, and it shouldn't be surprising if Brunson continues to see limited playing time throughout the preseason.

  • Knicks' Karl-Anthony Towns: Limited to five points

Towns contributed five points (2-4 FG, 1-3 3Pt), five rebounds and two assists across 15 minutes in Monday's 120-97 preseason loss to the 76ers.

Towns, who's reportedly frustrated by the lack of contract talks before the start of the 2026-27 regular season, joined the projected regular New York starters but saw limited involvement and production in a brief 15-minute cameo. There's little to take away from such a light preseason workload, and Towns remains positioned to operate as one of New York's primary offensive options once the regular season gets underway -- even if he's frustrated by off-court, contract-related issues.

  • Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards: Nets 14 points with two blocks

Edwards notched 14 points (4-13 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 5-5 FT), four rebounds, two assists and two swats over 18 minutes in Monday's 116-97 preseason win over the Bucks.

Edwards was a bit rusty in his preseason debut, converting just one of his seven three-point attempts while also coughing up two turnovers, but he did a nice job of getting to the line and he was locked in on defense. Edwards was a top-15 player last season with averages of 28.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 3.4 triples, 1.4 steals and 0.8 swats per contest, and he could be even better coming into his age-25 season.
