Jaylin Williams PF | OKC
Thunder's Jaylin Williams: Sitting out Tuesday
Williams (heel) won't play in Tuesday's preseason opener against the Pelicans, Clemente Almanza of USA Today reports.
Williams is sitting out the first leg of this back-to-back set with heel soreness. Wednesday's tilt against the Bucks is his next chance to play.

Ayo Dosunmu PG | MIN
Timberwolves' Ayo Dosunmu: Comes off bench Monday
Dosunmu finished with five points (2-5 FG, 1-2 3Pt) and three rebounds across 13 minutes in Monday's 116-97 preseason win over Milwaukee.
Dosunmu wasn't in the starting lineup Monday night. Instead, it was Jonathan Kuminga who started alongside LaMelo Ball, Anthony Edwards, Rudy Gobert and Jaden McDaniels. The 26-year-old was traded by the Bulls ahead of last season's deadline. In 34 regular-season games with the Timberwolves, including nine starts, Dosunmu averaged 14.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.0 steals over 28.9 minutes per contest. It's possible Dosunmu will earn some starts during the 2026-27 campaign, and though he might come off the bench routinely, he should remain a stable fantasy contributor.

Jarred Vanderbilt PF | LAL
Lakers' Jarred Vanderbilt: Fighting for roster spot
Vanderbilt recorded four points (2-4 FG, 0-2 3Pt), two rebounds and one assist in 10 minutes during Monday's 127-103 preseason win over Sacramento.
Vanderbilt didn't take the floor until the fourth quarter, suggesting he's fighting for a roster spot. His fantasy arrow is pointing down ahead of the new season.

Fletcher Loyer SG | LAC
Fletcher Loyer: Waived by Clippers
Loyer was waived by the Clippers on Tuesday, Scott Agness of FieldhouseFiles.com reports.
Loyer spent his collegiate career at Purdue before going undrafted in 2026. The 23-year-old went on to sign an Exhibit 10 deal with the Clippers in June. While Loyer was waived Tuesday, the team will still retain his G League rights.

Brandon Miller SG | CHA
Hornets' Brandon Miller: Won't play against Brooklyn
Miller (leg) is listed as out for Tuesday's preseason game versus the Nets.
Miller suffered a shin contusion during Tuesday's practice. Although there haven't been further details, his absence against the Nets is likely precautionary. The 23-year-old ended the 2025-26 campaign by averaging 20.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.0 steals while shooting a career-high 38.3 percent from deep over 30.3 minutes per contest in 65 regular-season games.

Kristaps Porzingis C | GS
Warriors' Kristaps Porzingis: Remains out indefinitely
Porzingis (undisclosed) remains out indefinitely, per Anthony Slater of ESPN.com.
The Warriors still aren't ready to offer up a return timeline for Porzingis, who's battling an undisclosed issue. The big man carries plenty of upside on a per-game basis in the later rounds of fantasy drafts, but he's reached the 60-game mark just one time in the past eight regular seasons.

Ariel Hukporti C | PHI
76ers' Ariel Hukporti: Done for season
Hukporti has been diagnosed with a season-ending ruptured right Achilles tendon, per Shams Charania of ESPN.
Hukporti went down with an Achilles injury in Monday's preseason opener against the Knicks, and an MRI has since revealed a rupture. He signed a one-year deal with the 76ers over the summer, so Hukporti will be an unrestricted free agent come season's end. With Hukporti's year already finished, Adem Bona (foot) should assume the backup center role behind Joel Embiid.

Nate Ament PF | MIL
Bucks' Nate Ament: Eight points in preseason debut
Ament recorded eight points (2-4 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 3-3 FT) and two rebounds across 14 minutes in Monday's 116-97 preseason loss to the Timberwolves.
The rookie forward made his preseason debut for the Bucks on Monday. Ament appears primed for an Opening Night role off the bench, but his fantasy appeal is likely to be limited in the early going while Milwaukee's frontcourt is healthy.

Koa Peat PF | PHO
Suns' Koa Peat: Sees 12 minutes Monday
Peat finished with four points (2-5 FG, 0-3 FT) and four rebounds in 12 minutes during Monday's 109-107 preseason loss to Detroit.
Peat saw a modest workload in his first NBA preseason action after an encouraging Summer League showing. The rookie first-round pick is competing for a reserve frontcourt role and should continue to receive opportunities throughout the preseason.
