Pacers' Jay Huff: Rejoining starting lineup

Huff is starting in Tuesday's game against Cleveland, per Tony East of Forbes.com.

The Pacers took a brief look at Micah Potter in the starting lineup, but Huff is resuming his duties as the top center Tuesday. Huff has averaged 8.9 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 2.4 blocks in 22.1 minutes per tilt through 18 games as a starter this season.

  • Spurs' Victor Wembanyama: Coming off bench Tuesday

Wembanyama (knee) is available for Tuesday's game against the Grizzlies, though he'll come off the bench and operate under an unspecified minutes restriction, Michael C. Wright of ESPN.com reports.

Wembanyama hyperextended his left knee in Wednesday's win over the Knicks but will return to action following a two-game absence. Depending on how he feels after Tuesday's matchup, the star big man is expected to be listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Lakers, according to Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express-News. Over six appearances off the bench this season, Wembanyama has averaged 18.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.8 blocks in 21.5 minutes per tilt.

  • Thunder's Isaiah Hartenstein: Another absence coming

Hartenstein is out for Wednesday's game against the Jazz due to a right soleus strain.

Wednesday is set to be a sixth straight absence for Hartenstein, who appears to have no definitive timeline for a return to the court. With Alex Caruso (back) sidelined, Luguentz Dort and Aaron Wiggins should slide over to power forward more frequently while Chet Holmgren soaks up the bulk of the center minutes in Hartenstein's place.

  • Cavaliers' Jarrett Allen: Good to go Tuesday

Allen (illness) is available for Tuesday's game against the Pacers.

After being upgraded to probable earlier Tuesday, Allen is expectedly good to go despite dealing with an illness. The 27-year-old big man will be returning from a one-game respite. Allen has averaged 12.7 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 0.9 steals in 25.2 minutes per game in his last 10 contests, shooting 63.1 percent from the field.

  • Hornets' Ryan Kalkbrenner: Remaining out vs. Toronto

Kalkbrenner (elbow) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Raptors, Roderick Boone of The Charlotte Observer reports.

Kalkbrenner will miss his ninth consecutive contest due to a sprained left elbow and is without a clear timetable for a return. The rookie big man should be considered doubtful for Thursday's game against the Pacers until the Hornets provide an update on his status.

  • Joel Embiid C | PHI

76ers' Joel Embiid: Iffy for Wednesday

Embiid (knee, ankle) is questionable for Wednesday's game against Washington.

The 76ers are considering giving Embiid a maintenance day for left knee injury management, though the star big man is also dealing with right ankle soreness. If he needs to sit out Wednesday, Andre Drummond would make sense as a plug-and-play fantasy option while Adem Bona handles backup center duties.

  • Jakob Poeltl C | TOR

Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Won't play Wednesday

Poeltl (back) will not play Wednesday against the Hornets, Vivek Jacob of the Raptors' official site reports.

Poeltl will miss his eighth game in a row Wednesday. The center is getting closer to a return, however, as he was cleared for contact work on Jan. 5. His next chance to play comes Friday against Boston.

  • Cavaliers' Jarrett Allen: Probable for Tuesday

Allen (illness) is now probable for Tuesday's game against the Pacers.

  • Nets' Nic Claxton: Will play Wednesday

Claxton (personal) will be available for Wednesday's game against the Magic, Sharif Phillips-Keaton of USA Today reports.

  • Spurs' Victor Wembanyama: Goes through shootaround
