Ingram won't be ready for the start of the season due to a partially torn Achilles, per Joey Linn of SI.com. The Clippers learned about the injury this summer, though it's unclear exactly how far along Ingram is in his recovery. The star forward's timeline for a return is unclear, clouding his fantasy outlook in the meantime. Darius Garland should take on all the usage he can handle in Ingram's stead, while Kris Dunn and Max Strus could have additional streaming appeal early in the year.

Ingram had surgery on his foot/heel during the offseason, ESPN's Brian Windhorst reported Tuesday. "We're going to hear at Media Day where he's at with his heel," Windhorst added. This update is certainly ominous, and there's been no mention of this by the Clippers. Fantasy managers will want to monitor this closely in case it impacts Ingram's availability for Opening Night.

The Clippers and Raptors both agreed Monday to finalize the trade sending Kawhi Leonard to Toronto for Ingram (heel), Gradey Dick, two unprotected first-round picks, one first-round pick swap and two second-rounders, Shams Charania of ESPN reports. The deal, which was agreed to in principle June 30, was held up over two months due to the league's investigation involving salary-cap circumvention by Leonard and the Clippers. Ingram underwent surgery in early May to address ongoing right heel pain, so his health will be worth monitoring when he reports to Los Angeles' training camp later in September.

The NBA has concluded its investigation into salary cap circumvention involving Kawhi Leonard and the Clippers, and the trade sending Ingram (heel) to Los Angeles is expected to be finalized in the coming days, Shams Charania of ESPN reports. Among other punishments, the Clippers were stripped of five first-round picks Wednesday. Additionally, Leonard was fined $700,000 in restitution for improper benefits. However, now that the findings and penalties have been announced, Ingram is expected to officially be traded to the Clippers after averaging 21.5 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.5 combined steals-plus-blocks in 33.8 minutes per game across 77 regular-season appearances with the Raptors in 2025-26. He underwent surgery in early May to address ongoing right heel pain, though the issue isn't currently expected to linger into the 2026-27 campaign. The Clippers are set to acquire Ingram, Gradey Dick, two first-round picks, two second-round picks and a first-round pick swap in exchange for Leonard.

The Clippers are nearing a deal that would send Kawhi Leonard to the Raptors for Ingram (heel), Gradey Dick, two future first-round picks, one pick swap and two future second-rounders, Shams Charania of ESPN reports. Although the trade isn't yet finalized, it sounds like Ingram is heading to Los Angeles for the 2026-27 season. The star forward is recovering from heel surgery, but the expectation is that he'll be able to fully participate in training camp this fall. If the deal is indeed consummated, Ingram would set up as the Clippers' top scoring option while sharing the primary playmaking duties with Darius Garland.
