Simmons (not injury related) won't play in Monday's preseason game against the Lakers, Sean Cunningham of Fox 40 Sacramento reports.
Simmons will be held out Monday as the Kings remain committed to ramping up the 30-year-old slowly. He could make his preseason debut either Thursday against the Lakers or Saturday against the Warriors.
