Buxton went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run in Saturday's 9-6 victory over the Astros.
Buxton got off the home run schneid with his eighth-inning homer, his first of the season, clocked at 110.8 mph off the bat. The 29-year-old is now 10-for-30 with three RBI and six runs scored through seven games. The Twins are having Buxton serve as the DH in an effort to keep him healthy, and he is back in the leadoff spot for Minnesota, replacing Max Kepler (knee), after opening the season in the three hole.
