Massey went 3-for-5 with two RBI with one run scored while striking out once during the Royals' 7-6 extra-inning win over the Padres on Friday.
Massey gave Kansas City the lead with an RBI single that scored Vinnie Pasquantino in the eighth inning and plated Pasquantino in the 10th as well. The 28-year-old has now recorded at least one hit in seven of his last eight games played. On the season, Massey has slugged .267/.305/.427 with seven homers and 33 RBI in 251 plate appearances.
