Friedl went 1-for-4 with a grand slam in Wednesday's 6-4 loss to the Marlins.

The 28-year-old outfielder spoiled a combined shutout bid for the Miami pitching staff when he took Andrew Nardi deep in the seventh inning. It was Friedl's first career grand slam and his sixth homer of the season, and he may be waking up at the plate -- over 12 games since returning from a hamstring injury in late July, he's slashing just .222/.318/.417, but he now has a hit in four straight contests.
