The Rays placed Wells on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with right forearm tightness.
It's a big blow to the Rays' bullpen, as Wells has been lights out since landing in Tampa Bay at the trade deadline, logging a 1.50 ERA and 19:5 K:BB over 18 innings. He will not be eligible to return before the end of the regular season, but Wells expects to be active for the postseason after imaging came back negative, per Ryan Bass of Rays.tv.
