Lamet has fired three quality starts in his past four outings and has been sharp in the second half. He now owns a 3.18 ERA with 56 strikeouts and has allowed just three home runs over 51 innings since the All-Star break. In a lost season for the Padres, Lamet has been a bright spot, giving the club some hope for the future.
