Lamet tossed 2.1 scoreless innings in relief in Wednesday's 11-9 loss to the Dodgers, striking out two while allowing only one baserunner on a single.
Since returning from a one-month stint on the injured list Sept. 1, Lamet has pitched exclusively in a relief role for San Diego. After stumbling in his initial relief appearances, Lamet has looked much sharper over the past two weeks. He's permitted one earned run over his last five outings while posting an 8:3 K:BB in eight innings.
