O'Neill's playing time had been on the upswing after he slashed .293/.396/.512 with three home runs, six RBI and six runs through his first 13 games of August, but after going hitless with a 1:3 BB:K over his last four contests, he may be drifting back into a platoon role. He'll take a seat for the third time in five games -- with all three absences coming against righties -- while the Orioles go with Coby Mayo in the designated-hitter spot.
