Mets' Zack Short: DFA'd by Mets

The Mets designated Short for assignment on Wednesday, Andrew Tredinnick of The Bergen Record reports.

This is the second time Short has been DFA'd this month after previously losing his role with Detroit. The 31-year-old appeared in just three games for the Mets after being claimed off waivers June 15. The move was made in order to make room for Francisco Lindor (calf) on the roster after he was reinstated from the 10-day injured list Wednesday.
