Mets' Tomas Nido: Headed to IL with vision issue

Nido is expected to be placed on the 10-day injured list Thursday with a vision issue, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

Officially, Nido is dealing with "dry eye syndrome" and is expected to be OK in 3-to-4 days, per Tim Healey of Newsday. Michael Perez will replace him on the roster. Francisco Alvarez will be the Mets' primary catcher.
