Marlins acting manager James Rowson suggested Monday that Rogers (personal) is without a clear timeline to rejoin the team, MLB.com reports. "We're kind of just letting Trevor take the time that he needs," Rowson said. "There's no sense of urgency or anything for that. So I think once he gets back, then he'll be able to get back into the fold and we'll go from there. Whatever he has to handle at home is what he needs to do first, and then from there we'll go from there."
Miami placed Rogers on the Family Medical Emergency List on Aug. 3, and he's remained away from the team ever since. Because Rogers is taking leave from the team due to a private matter, news has been scarce regarding his plans for eventually rejoining the Marlins. As exceptional as Rogers has been this season, fantasy managers in shallower leagues with limited reserve spots may find it difficult to justify holding onto him, given the uncertainty of his return date.
