Marlins' Max Meyer: Evaluation coming next week

Meyer (neck) will be reevaluated next week, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Meyer has been shut down from throwing since he landed on the injured list July 20 with a neck strain, but he may be cleared to resume activity if he shows enough signs of healing during his upcoming evaluation. Once cleared to throw, he'll likely spend a couple of weeks ramping up and could require a rehab outing in the minors before returning to the Marlins' rotation.
