Stowers isn't in the Marlins' lineup for Friday's game against the Giants.

The lefty-hitting Stowers will take a seat to begin Friday's contest with Blake Snell on the mound for San Francisco. With Stowers out, Derek Hill, Cristian Pache and David Hensley will serve as Miami's outfield trio.
