Marlins' Jimmy Yacabonis: Moves up to majors

The Marlins selected Yacabonis' contract from Triple-A Jacksonville on Wednesday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Yacabonis is back in the majors for the first time since 2020, when he made two appearances for the Mariners. The 30-year-old has worked exclusively out of the bullpen at Jacksonville this season, supplying a 3.42 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 35:11 K:BB across 23.2 innings. He'll likely serve as a low-leverage, multi-inning option in relief while he's up with the Marlins.
