Stanton, who was placed on the 15-day DL on Sunday, is set to undergo an MRI on his left groin injury, Craig Davis of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Stanton tweaked his groin while making the final out during Saturday's loss to the White Sox, and the Marlins didn't wait long before moving him to the DL. Now, it appears the team will send him for an MRI so they know exactly what they're dealing with. Miami is in the heat of a Wild Card race, so getting a clear timetable for the slugger is a high priority. With Stanton on the shelf, look for Ichiro Suzuki to make steady starts in right field.
