The Marlins placed Hill on the 10-day injured list Saturday with a left shoulder impingement.
Hill hasn't registered a plate appearance since last Sunday, and he's now due to miss at least another eight days as he recovers from his shoulder injury. Javier Sanoja was called up from Triple-A Jacksonville in a corresponding move and may have an opportunity to work as Miami's fourth outfielder while Hill is out.
