Mills was optioned to Triple-A Tacoma on Thursday, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
Mills was called up by Seattle on Thursday and allowed two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out three in 2.2 innings across two appearances. He'll return to the minors after Hector Santiago and Daniel Zamora were added to the major-league roster as part of a shuffle.
