Martinez (side) is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the White Sox.
Martinez suffered a right side injury during Tuesday's contest. He seems to have avoided a serious injury, but with it being an afternoon tilt Wednesday ahead of an off day Thursday, Martinez will receive some rest. Steven Kwan is handling left field, and Petey Halpin will patrol center field for the Guardians.
