The Cubs tendered contracts to eight arbitration-eligible players prior to Tuesday's deadline. Those players included: Pitchers Travis Wood and Jake Arrieta, outfielder Chris Coghlan, third baseman Luis Valbuena, reliever Pedro Strop, outfielder Justin Ruggiano, pitcher Felix Doubront and catcher Welington Castillo.
