Thomas (intercostal) took some swings off a tee Tuesday, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.
Thomas was diagnosed with a left intercostal strain late last week, but he was cleared to swing a bat shortly after that following a cortisone injection. Atlanta believes Thomas could be ready to return during the early portion of the postseason.
