Trivino signed a one-year, $3 million contract with the Athletics on Tuesday, Kiley McDaniel of ESPN.com reports.
The agreement means the two sides won't have to go through arbitration. He'll get paid for his 22 saves, but his 21.6 percent strikeout rate is hardly closer material and doesn't back up his 3.18 ERA, especially when combined with his poor 11.0 percent walk rate.
