Urquidy (shoulder) began throwing off flat ground Monday, Jake Kaplan of The Athletic reports.
Urquidy had been shut down from throwing since hitting the injured list with right shoulder discomfort in late June. The length of his absence likely means he'll be brought along somewhat cautiously. The Astros have yet to announce when they expect him to begin a rehab assignment.
