The Dolphins signed Rucci to their practice squad Thursday.
Rucci wasn't able to earn one of the tight-end slots on Miami's final 53-man roster for 2025, but he'll contribute as a member of the practice squad. He spent most of the 2024 campaign on the Dolphins' practice squad too, and he's still waiting to make his regular-season debut.

Rucci entered Dolphins' training camp gunning for a depth spot on the 53-man roster, but the Wisconsin tight end failed to record a catch across three preseason games. Rucci spent most of 2024 on the Dolphins' practice squad, and assuming he clears waivers he could reprise that role for the 2025 campaign.

The Dolphins signed Rucci to a reserve/future contract Tuesday.
Rucci had two separate stints on the Dolphins' practice squad during the 2024 regular season but did not appear in a single game. He was cut from the practice squad Dec. 24, but he'll stick around in Miami and be a part of the 90-man roster once the new league year begins March 12.

The Dolphins signed Rucci to the practice squad Thursday.
Rucci signed with Miami in May as an undrafted free agent. The Wisconsin product entered training camp competing for a depth spot at tight end, but he was ultimately omitted from the 53-man roster. Rucci had a strong finish to the preseason, catching five passes (on six targets) for 44 yards and one touchdown against the Buccaneers on Friday. He'll stick around on the Dolphins' taxi squad and stay ready for a promotion to the active roster.
