Anthony Tyus: Cut from Hawks' practice squad
The Seahawks cut Tyus from the practice squad Thursday, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
The move makes room on the Seahawks' practice squad for linebacker Chris Paul. Tyus failed to make Seattle's 53-man roster at the end of training camp after logging 21 carries for 55 yards and one catch (on two targets) for two yards across three preseason games. The undrafted rookie will look to catch on with another team's practice squad.

Tyus will join fellow rookie running backs Damien Martinez (seventh round) and Jacardia Wright (undrafted) on the Seahawks' practice squad. Tyus finished the preseason with just 21 carries for 55 yards (2.6 YPC) and one catch for two yards. He's a long shot to get called up to the active roster.

Seahawks' Anthony Tyus: Generates 23 yards
Tyus rushed six times for 23 yards in Thursday's 23-23 preseason tie versus the Raiders.
Tyus initially signed as an undrafted rookie with the Lions but was cut in July before joining the Seahawks. The Ohio product didn't play until the fourth quarter of Thursday's game. He looks like a longshot to make the 53-man roster with five other running backs ahead of him on the depth chart.

Anthony Tyus: Tries out with Seattle
Tyus (illness) worked out with the Seahawks on Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Tyus is healthy again after having been waived by Detroit with a non-football illness designation earlier this month. He will look to catch on with the Seahawks, who are in need of extra depth at running back after Kenny McIntosh suffered a season-ending torn ACL last week.

Anthony Tyus: Waived with non-football illness
Tyus was waived with a non-football illness designation Thursday.
Tyus parts ways with the Lions organization after signing with the team in May as an undrafted free agent out of Ohio. If Tyus passes through waivers unclaimed, he would be free to sign with any team once he's healthy.
