Winfield logged three tackles (one solo) and one pass defense during Sunday's 38-35 win over the Seahawks.
Winfield looked to have registered his first interception of the season after snagging a pass from Sam Darnold intended for Cooper Kupp, but the play was negated by an illegal contact penalty on Zyon McCollum. Winfield is off to a relatively slow start from a tackling standpoint, having registered four combined tackles or less in each of the first five games of the regular season.

Winfield recorded three tackles (two solo), including 1.0 sacks, and forced a fumble in Sunday's 29-27 win versus the Jets.
Though Winfield finished with a modest three stops, he made a tangible impact on the outcome. The star safety combined on a tackle in the second quarter that resulted in a five-yard loss, and he later had a solo sack of Tyrod Taylor that resulted in a fumble recovered by the Bucs. Winfield came up big for the Buccaneers in Monday's win as he finished tied for third on the team in tackles while playing every defensive snap. The 27-year-old has now racked up four tackles in back-to-back games and will look to produce a more impressive statline during next week's matchup versus the Jets.

Winfield had a relatively quiet game statistically, but he made a key pass breakup with time winding down late in the fourth quarter as the Falcons were driving down the field. Perhaps most importantly, Winfield looked healthy after playing in only eight regular-season games last year and missing time during training camp due to injury. Winfield logged 74 of Tampa Bay's 76 defensive snaps Sunday.

Head coach Todd Bowles didn't specify if Winfield's injury will cause him to miss more time. The 26-year-old is coming off a season where he only appeared in nine regular-season games due to knee and ankle injuries, but has been a full participant in training camp so far. He's entering the second year of his four-year, $84.1 million contract extension.

Winfield has made multiple impact plays in early training camp practices, Brianna Dix of the team's official site reports.
The star safety opened camp by snagging two interceptions in Wednesday's practice, and he collapsed the pocket for what would have been a sack in game action during Friday's session. Winfield noted he's striving to make at least one splash play per practice this summer as he aims for a resurgent season following an injury-hampered 2024 where he played a career-low nine regular-season games due to foot and knee issues.
