Kadary Richmond: Contract with Washington expires
Richmond's 10-day contract with the Wizards expired following Friday's 131-118 win over the Pacers, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.
Richmond was part of the Washington rotation for all three games over the course of his 10-day deal, averaging 8.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.7 steals in 22.0 minutes per contest while shooting 62.5 percent from the field. Washington could look to re-sign Richmond to a second 10-day deal ahead of its next game Sunday versus Charlotte, but for the time being, the undrafted rookie out of St. John's is a free agent.

Wizards' Kadary Richmond: Recalled to NBA
The Wizards recalled Richmond from the G League's Capital City Go-Go on Friday.
Richmond, who signed a 10-day contract with Washington on Wednesday, joined the Go-Go for Thursday's 119-107 loss to the Greensboro Swarm, during which he posted 24 points (9-14 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, four assists and three steals in 36 minutes. His next opportunity to suit up for the Wizards will come Thursday against the Pacers.

Wizards' Kadary Richmond: Scores five points in debut
Richmond racked up five points (2-2 FG, 1-1 3Pt), two rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal across six minutes during Wednesday's 138-113 loss to Cleveland.
Fresh off signing a 10-day contract with the Wizards, Richmond made his debut, scoring five points off the bench. Washington is clearly going to prioritize youth over winning, so we could see several players coming in and out of the rotation over the next couple of months. At this stage, there is no reason to be adding Richmond, even in deeper formats.

The Wizards have a lot of injuries currently, so Richmond is being called up to provide some depth. With the Capital City Go-Go in the G League, Richmond holds averages of 8.3 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.3 steals per game.

Wizards' Kadary Richmond: Signs with Washington
Richmond signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Wizards on Monday, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.
Richmond is unlikely to make the regular-season roster and will likely head to the G League's Capital City Go-Go before Opening Night. After going undrafted in the spring, Richmond joined the Wizards for Summer League but didn't make much of an impact.

Kadary Richmond: Not part of training camp roster
Richmond isn't listed on the Wizards' training camp roster, Chase Hughes of Monumental Sports Network reports.
A report shortly after the conclusion of the 2025 NBA Draft indicated Richmond signed a two-way contract with the Wizards, but conflicting reports surfaced in the weeks afterward. Sharife Cooper, Jamir Watkins and Tristan Vukcevic are on two-way deals, meaning Richmond likely inked an Exhibit 10 deal instead. Regardless, Richmond isn't part of the training camp roster and will likely begin this season in the G League.

Wizards' Kadary Richmond: Joining Wizards on two-way deal
Richmond is set to sign a two-way contract with the Wizards, NBA reporter Chris Haynes reports.
Richmond spent his last four college seasons in the Big East, though he was at his best in the final two years of his college career with Seton Hall and St. John's in 2023-24 and 2024-25, respectively. Richmond averaged 12.4 points, 6.4 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 2.0 steals per game as a senior with St. John's. Even though he signed a two-way deal, don't rule out Richmond as a potential addition to the NBA roster as the season progresses given how early the rebuilding process is in Washington.
