Draft Scouting Report
Undersized, light scoring guard dripping in swag and self-belief that he can score on anybody. Impacted winning at FAU and San Diego State before transforming into one of the best guards in the country at Wisconsin.
- Second-team All-Big Ten and Big Ten All-Tournament Team selection at Wisconsin in 2025-26.
- Second-team All-Mountain West at San Diego State in 2023-24.
- Starting guard on the FAU team that advanced to the 2023 Final Four.
- Dawg. Boyd takes winning seriously and is an infectious moral-raiser with sky-high competitive spirit. Takes on any challenge and believes he is the best player on the floor every single time.
- Has a ton of answers to the test offensively with a barrage of pull-ups, stepbacks, floaters and creative layup packages in his finishing arsenal. Shot 37% from 3-point range, 48% on pull-ups, 43% on floaters and 56% on layups at Wisconsin. He’s a true three-level scoring threat, but does most of his damage as a driver to the cup with slithery rack attacks.
- Posted a 2.4-to-1, assist-to-turnover ratio last season and can really run a team without making a ton of mistakes.
- Played five years of college basketball so there’s some wear on the tires and he’s close to a finished product at 25 years old.
- Pretty slight frame. 6-foot-1 on a good day with a 6-2 wingspan and there aren’t many bricks in the britches.
- How does he hold up defensively against the elite athletes that litter the NBA game?
- Wingspan: 6 feet, 2.5 inches
- Standing vertical leap: 30.5 inches
- Standing reach: 8 feet
- Lane agility: 10.78 seconds
- Three quarter sprint: 3.07 seconds
- Max vertical leap: 36 inches

Warriors' Nick Boyd: Posts double-double at SL
Boyd recorded 11 points (4-7 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 10 assists, seven rebounds and a steal in 27 minutes during Sunday's 91-85 loss to the Kings at the California Classic Summer League.
Boyd bounced back with an impressive all-around performance, finishing just three rebounds shy of a triple-double while leading the Warriors Blue in both rebounds and assists. After struggling in his Summer League debut by shooting just 2-for-10 from the field, he responded with a much more efficient outing in his second appearance. Boyd entered Summer League on an Exhibit 10 contract, but performances like this could help strengthen his case for a more substantial opportunity.
