  • Bulls' Isaac Okoro: Notches 11 points in start

Okoro produced 11 points (3-7 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), two rebounds and two assists in 18 minutes of Tuesday's 118-117 preseason win over the Cavaliers.

Okoro drew the start against his former team, while Ayo Dosunmu came off the bench. Okoro has been a standout in training camp, with coach Billy Donovan talking up his cutting ability, IQ and defensive physicality. The Bulls are likely to experiment with some different lineup combinations, but it seems like Okoro is making quite the impression on his new team.

  • Bulls' Isaac Okoro: Will start vs. Cleveland

Okoro will be in the starting lineup for Tuesday's preseason game against the Cavaliers, Spencer Davies of SI.com reports.

Okoro will ironically make his first start of the preseason with his new squad against his old team that traded him to Chicago on June 28. He joins Josh Giddey, Kevin Huerter, Matas Buzelis and Nikola Vucevic in the first unit to get Chicago's preseason underway.

  • Bulls' Isaac Okoro: Headed to Chicago

The Cavaliers traded Okoro to the Bulls in exchange for Lonzo Ball (wrist) on Saturday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

Okoro will join the Bulls after spending the first five years of his career in Cleveland. The 24-year-old was selected by the Cavaliers with the No. 5 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft but has seen a fairly steady decline in playing time since his rookie year. Okoro played in 55 regular-season games this past season, missing an extended period due to a right shoulder sprain. He finished the 2024-25 campaign averaging 6.1 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists across 19.1 minutes per game.

  • Cavaliers' Isaac Okoro: Minimal impact in loss

Okoro chipped in two points (1-2 FG) and one steal in 16 minutes during Tuesday's 114-105 loss to the Pacers in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Okoro failed to make his presence felt in Tuesday's Game 5 after scoring 13 points in Game 4. The 2020 first-round pick had his quietest regular season to date, appearing in 55 games and averaging 6.1 points, 2.4 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.3 blocks on 46.4 percent shooting, including 37.1 percent from beyond the arc. Okoro signed a three-year, $33 million extension in September.

  • Cavaliers' Isaac Okoro: Held to five points

Okoro accumulated five points (1-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-4 FT), two rebounds, one assist and two steals in 29 minutes during Tuesday's 120-119 loss to the Pacers in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

With the Cavaliers missing three key players in Darius Garland (toe), Evan Mobley (ankle) and De'Andre Hunter (thumb), Okoro was pressed into a larger role, but he wasn't able to make much of an impact. All three players are day-to-day, but Okoro remains a very risky fantasy asset with his low usage rate. In the postseason, Okoro has hit 28.6 percent from beyond the arc.

  • Cavaliers' Isaac Okoro: Sees 13 minutes

Okoro notched six points (2-3 FG, 2-3 3Pt) and one rebound in 13 minutes during Monday's 138-83 win over the Heat in Game 4 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Although the Cavaliers ran away with this game, Okoro's playing time didn't go up much. And that's with Darius Garland (toe) still on the shelf. Through four postseason games, Okoro has seen 11.0 minutes per night with 4.5 points, 1.3 rebounds and 0.5 assists on 46.7 percent shooting.
