Top Cam Spencer News

  • Grizzlies' Cam Spencer: Scores 16 in SL loss

Spencer finished with 16 points (6-17 FG, 4-12 3Pt, 0-1 FT), four rebounds, two assists and one steal across 28 minutes during Thursday's 92-88 Summer League loss to the Hawks.

Spencer has now scored 16 or more points in back-to-back games during the Las Vegas Summer League. He was one of four players on his squad to score in double figures.

  • Grizzlies' Cam Spencer: Game-high 23 points Tuesday

Spencer piled up 23 points (6-10 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 8-9 FT), two rebounds, two assists and one steal in 29 minutes during Tuesday's 96-84 Summer League loss to the Warriors.

Spencer supplied an efficient 23 points, leading all scorers Tuesday as well. The 2024 second-rounder should continue to be a significant contributor this summer, and he's set to battle with Ty Jerome and Scotty Pippen for reserve minutes in Memphis' backcourt for the 2025-26 campaign.

  • Grizzlies' Cam Spencer: Deal being restructured

Spencer and the Grizzlies have agreed to a four-year, $10.5 million deal, ESPN's Shams Charania reports.

Spencer previously agreed to a two-year, $4.5 million deal, but the Grizzlies were able to restructure it after recent moves inside the organization. The deal will now include three fully guaranteed years for the wing. In his second NBA season, Spencer will likely be fighting for minutes at the edge of the rotation.

  • Grizzlies' Cam Spencer: Scores 17 in SL win

Spencer racked up 17 points (6-15 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 3-3 FT), four rebounds, four assists and one steal across 29 minutes during Saturday's 96-86 Summer League win against the Trail Blazers.

Spencer had another strong offensive performance, dropping 15 or more points for the second straight game in the Summer League. The 24-year-old played in 25 regular-season games for Memphis during the 2024-25 campaign, averaging 4.2 points, 1.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists across 10.1 minutes per game.

  • Grizzlies' Cam Spencer: Drops 15 points in loss

Spencer racked up 15 points (4-9 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 5-5 FT), three rebounds and two assists across 25 minutes during Friday's Summer League 92-78 loss to the Celtics.

After sitting during Tuesday's game, Spencer was one of four players for the Grizzlies to crack double digits in the scoring column. GG Jackson (16), Armando Bacot (14) and Jaylen Wells (13) also made an impact offensively against Boston.

  • Grizzlies' Cam Spencer: Won't play vs. Philly

Spencer (rest) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the 76ers, Drew Hill of The Daily Memphian reports.

Spencer joins Jaylen Wells and Javon Small as players who will rest for Memphis on Tuesday. Spencer hit seven three-pointers in the team's loss to the Jazz on Monday, finishing with 23 points, six rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block in 29 minutes.

  • Grizzlies' Cam Spencer: Signing two-year deal with MEM

Spencer agreed to a two-year, $4.5 million contract with the Grizzlies on Monday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

Spencer appeared in 25 regular-season games during his rookie season in 2024-25, averaging 4.2 points, 1.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game while making 35.8 percent of his treys. However, he proved to be too good for the G League while delivering 23.5 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.0 steals per game for the Memphis Hustle in eight contests. After showing flashes of being a two-way contributor, the Grizzlies have rewarded him with a two-year deal that's fully guaranteed. Spencer should see minutes off the bench with the Grizzlies, but he's not expected to be a major contributor in fantasy.

  • Grizzlies' Cam Spencer: Ineligible for postseason

Spencer, who is on a two-way contract with the Grizzlies, is ineligible for the NBA postseason.

Spencer played in 25 games on the NBA level, averaging 4.2 points, 1.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game, shooting 41.5 percent from the floor and 35.8 percent from beyond the arc. The 25-year-old guard suited up for eight games with the G League's Memphis Hustle, finishing with averages of 23.5 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.0 steals per game, shooting 53.8 percent from the floor and 49.3 percent from beyond the arc.

  • Grizzlies' Cam Spencer: Productive in first career start

Spencer notched 23 points (8-19 FG, 5-13 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, seven assists and three steals over 37 minutes during Sunday's 132-97 victory over the Mavericks.

Spencer made the first start of his career and posted an impressive stat line, surpassing the 20-point mark and ending just three assists away from a double-double. However, most of the regulars are expected to return for Tuesday's matchup against the Warriors in the Play-In Tournament, meaning Spencer should return to having a minimal role off the bench going forward.

  • Grizzlies' Cam Spencer: Making first career start

Spencer will start Sunday's game against the Mavericks, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.

With most of Memphis' regulars sidelined, Spencer will make his first career start. The rookie has played double-digit minutes only nine times this season, scoring in double figures twice.

  • Grizzlies' Cam Spencer: Back in rotation Saturday

Spencer totaled three points (1-1 FG, 1-1 3Pt) across five minutes during Saturday's 109-103 victory over Detroit.

Spencer moved back into the rotation, albeit for a short five-minute stint. It's been an underwhelming rookie campaign for Spencer, who has played in just 22 games thus far. In 9.4 minutes per game, he is averaging 3.7 points on 42.4 percent shooting from the floor.

  • Grizzlies' Cam Spencer: Scores 16 points off bench

Spencer notched 16 points (5-9 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, one assist and three steals in 20 minutes during Monday's 120-118 victory over the Suns.

Spencer has been an absolute star in the G League this season, but he's been limited to just 13 appearances at the NBA level. Monday's outing was his best by a wide margin, although it's worth noting he saw sizable minutes since the Grizzlies were missing several rotation players. Spencer isn't expected to play a sizable role in the rotation once the Grizzlies are at full strength, so his fantasy upside shouldn't increase dramatically based on one good game.
