  • Pacers' Aaron Nesmith: Propels Pacers to first victory

Nesmith totaled 31 points (10-19 FG, 5-11 3Pt, 6-6 FT), six rebounds and one assist in 35 minutes during Saturday's 114-109 win over Golden State.

Nesmith broke out for his best performance of the season to date, dominating as a scorer after being held to just 17 total points in his previous two matchups. He was effective all over the court, adding 15 of his 31 from beyond the arc while also going perfect from the charity stripe. Fantasy managers shouldn't expect this type of scoring production regularly, but it's nice to see a breakout game in what has otherwise been a slow start to the year for the 26-year-old.

  • Pacers' Aaron Nesmith: Scores five points on 16 shots

Nesmith registered five points (2-16 FG, 1-9 3Pt, 0-2 FT), three rebounds, one assist, one block and one turnover in 37 minutes during Wednesday's 107-105 loss to the Mavs.

Nesmith couldn't buy a bucket, but that was a team-wide trend for Indiana, with the Pacers going just 37-106 from the floor Wednesday evening. Ben Sheppard posted four points (1-7 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, two assists and two turnovers across 25 minutes in the narrow loss.

  • Pacers' Aaron Nesmith: Needs 17 shots to score 18 points

Nesmith supplied 18 points (6-17 FG, 5-12 3Pt, 1-3 FT), eight rebounds and two assists over 35 minutes during Sunday's 114-110 loss to the Timberwolves.

With Bennedict Mathurin (foot) on the sidelines, Nesmith is being looked to as the No. 2 option on offense, and he's been getting plenty of shots up. Unfortunately, not a lot of them have been falling, as he's been converting just 39.3 percent of his attempts over the past two games. Still, he's posting averages of 16.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.5 triples and 1.5 assists per game over that stretch, granting him some low-end value in points leagues.

  • Pacers' Aaron Nesmith: Scores 15 points in loss

Nesmith finished with 15 points (5-11 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), one rebound, one assist and one block in 31 minutes during Saturday's 128-103 loss to the Grizzlies.

Nesmith led the Pacers in minutes played (31) and made threes (four) during their loss on Saturday. Bennedict Mathurin left the game before the fourth quarter due to right foot soreness, and if he's not ready to go for Sunday's road tilt against Minnesota, Nesmith could be asked to carry more of the load on offense in his stead.

  • Pacers' Aaron Nesmith: Fouls out during season opener

Nesmith posted five points (2-7 FG, 1-3 3Pt) and seven rebounds in 27 minutes before fouling out of Thursday's 141-135 double-overtime loss to the Thunder.

As most defenders do, Nesmith struggled to stay out of foul trouble while guarding Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, which ruined the former's production during the Nuggets' regular-season opener. Brighter days are ahead for Nesmith, and there's a ton of usage to go around with Tyrese Haliburton (Achilles) sidelined for the entire campaign and Myles Turner now in Milwaukee. Andrew Nembhard (shoulder) also left this contest early, and if he joins T.J. McConnell (hamstring) on the short-term injury list, Indiana will have to dig deep into their bench early in the season.

  • Pacers' Aaron Nesmith: Signs extension with Indiana

The Pacers signed Nesmith to a two-year, $40.4 million contract extension Monday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

Nesmith is now set to remain with the Pacers through the 2028-29 campaign after signing the extension. The 26-year-old forward was traded from Boston to Indiana in July of 2022 and quickly became a key part of the Pacers' rotation. He appeared in 45 regular-season games (37 starts) in 2024-25, during which he averaged 12.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.2 assists while shooting 50.7 percent from the field and 43.1 percent from beyond the arc in 24.9 minutes per game.

  • Pacers' Aaron Nesmith: Logs 12 points in preseason finale

Nesmith finished Friday's 133-104 preseason loss to the Spurs with 12 points (5-7 FG, 2-3 3Pt), three assists, one rebound and one steal over 18 minutes.

Nesmith was one of just four Indiana players to score in double digits Friday as the Pacers connected on just 41.5 percent of their field-goal attempts. The 2020 first-rounder has averaged at least 12.0 points per game in each of the last two seasons, and his role in the Pacers' offense should expand during the 2025-26 campaign following the departure of Myles Turner to Milwaukee and with Tyrese Haliburton (Achilles) out for the season.

  • Pacers' Aaron Nesmith: Starting Monday

Nesmith is starting Monday's preseason game against the Spurs, Scott Agness of FieldhouseFiles.com reports.

After missing Saturday's preseason win over the Thunder for rest reasons, Nesmith will be back in action Monday. Jarace Walker is back in the second unit against the Spurs.

  • Pacers' Aaron Nesmith: Doesn't suit up Saturday

Nesmith (rest) did not play in Saturday's preseason win over the Thunder.

The Pacers sat all three of Pascal Siakam, Andrew Nembhard and Nesmith in what was a planned maintenance day. Nesmith's next chance to play comes in Monday's exhibition against the Spurs.

  • Pacers' Aaron Nesmith: Held in check

Nesmith closed with three points (1-5 FG, 1-3 3Pt), six rebounds, one assist, two blocks and two steals in 30 minutes before fouling out of Sunday's 103-91 loss to the Thunder in Game 7 of the NBA Finals.

Nesmith had a miserable outing on the offensive end, but his defense kept him on the floor. While this was a disappointing end to his campaign, Nesmith showed a ton of promise in 2024-25. In 45 regular-season appearances, Nesmith shot 43.1 percent from beyond the arc while averaging 12.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 0.8 steals. With Tyrese Haliburton facing a lengthy recovery from his torn Achilles, Nesmith could soak up more usage in 2025-26.
