Thunder's Aday Mara: Starting Friday
Mara (undisclosed) is starting Friday's Summer League game against the Lakers, Law Murray of The Athletic reports.
Mara didn't play in Tuesday's Salt Lake City Summer League loss to the Jazz, though it's worth mentioning that the game was the second leg of a back-to-back set. He'll now look to impress in the Thunder's Las Vegas Summer League opener.

Thunder's Aday Mara: Doesn't suit up Tuesday
Mara (undisclosed) didn't play in Tuesday's 103-69 Salt Lake City Summer League loss to the Jazz.
Mara logged 23 minutes in Monday's loss to the Hawks, so it's possible he was simply given a rest day on the second leg of this back-to-back set. The big man's next chance to play will come in the Thunder's Las Vegas Summer League opener against the Lakers on Friday.

Thunder's Aday Mara: Swats four shots in 23 minutes
Mara contributed 10 points (3-9 FG, 2-4 FT), nine rebounds, one assist and four blocks over 23 minutes during Monday's 82-77 Salt Lake City Summer League loss to the Hawks.
Mara added a game-high five turnovers while he was out there, so it wasn't his most productive offensive outing. However, he did show his upside as a shot blocker and did a nice job battling on the boards. It remains to be seen if Mara will suit up for the second leg of this back-to-back set Tuesday versus the Jazz.

Thunder's Aday Mara: Scores 10 points with two blocks
Mara registered 10 points (5-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 0-1 FT), three rebounds, four assists, one steal and two blocks over 22 minutes during Saturday's 111-74 Summer League loss to the Grizzlies.
Mara did a nice job of asserting himself in the paint, and he also flashed some solid playmaking upside. He'll help back up the center spot in Oklahoma City during his rookie season, but his minutes will likely be relegated to the teens or lower while the team is at full strength.

Thunder's Aday Mara: Picked by Oklahoma City at No. 12
Mara was selected by the Thunder with the No. 12 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft.
Mara joins Morez Johnson (No. 9 to Dallas) and Yaxel Lendeborg (No. 11 to Golden State) as the third Michigan player selected in the lottery. The 7-foot-3 center spent the first two years of his collegiate career at UCLA, where he played a limited role before transferring to Michigan. In 40 games (39 starts) with the Wolverines in 2025-26, Mara averaged 12.1 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2.6 blocks and 2.4 assists in 23.5 minutes per contest. He earned Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year honors and was named to the All-Big Ten Third Team en route to winning a national championship. It should be an eventful offseason in Oklahoma City as the club navigates its salary-cap situation, particularly in the frontcourt with a pending club option on Isaiah Hartenstein. Mara's exact role remains to be seen, but he projects as a strong contributor in the paint, especially on the defensive end.
