Jazz's Hayden Gray: Team option declined
Utah declined the team option on Gray's contract Monday, per Tony Jones of The Athletic.
Although he no longer has an NBA deal, Gray will remain with Utah for Summer League action. The Jazz will evaluate the second-year guard afterwards, but he may have to settle for an Exhibit 10 deal elsewhere.

Jazz's Hayden Gray: Scores six points in NBA debut
Gray closed with six points (2-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one assist, one block and one steal across 25 minutes during Sunday's 131-107 loss to the Lakers.
Gray signed a two-year deal with the Jazz right before the end of the regular season, appearing in Utah's final contest of the year. The contract suggests the team will give Gray a chance to compete for a backup role in the backcourt in 2026-27, though it's worth noting Utah also brought in Bez Mbeng on a two-year pact late this season and may have similar plans in mind for him as well.

Jazz's Hayden Gray: Inks deal with Utah
The Jazz signed Gray to a two-year contract Saturday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Gray spent most of the 2025-26 regular season in the G League with the Maine Celtics, where he appeared in 35 games and averaged 10.5 points, 6.5 assists, 3.1 rebounds, 1.4 threes and 2.3 steals over 29.8 minutes per game. He's never appeared in an NBA-level game, but he'll have the opportunity to do so in the Jazz's regular-season finale against the Lakers on Sunday.

Hayden Gray: Let go by Boston
Gray was waived by the Celtics on Saturday, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.
Gray was waived ahead of training camp after signing a non-guaranteed contract with Boston in July, though the club will still retain his G League rights.
