Top Jarace Walker News

  • Pacers' Jarace Walker: Won't play Wednesday

Walker (back) is out for Wednesday's game against the Bulls, Tony East of Forbes.com reports.

Walker will be sidelined for a second straight game and did "very little" at practice Tuesday, according to coach Rick Carlisle. Walker's absence is likely to open things up for Kobe Brown and Jalen Slawson.

  • Pacers' Jarace Walker: Unavailable versus Miami

Walker (back) is listed as out for Sunday's game against Miami.

Walker took a hard fall in Friday's 114-113 loss to the Clippers. Although he avoided a serious head injury, he won't be available Sunday due to a low back bruise. Without Walker on the floor, Kobe Brown and Jalen Slawson are candidates to see expanded roles.

  • Pacers' Jarace Walker: Unlikely to play Sunday

Walker (back) has been downgraded to doubtful for Sunday's game versus the Heat, Dustin Dopirak of The Indianapolis Star reports.

With Walker not expected to play Sunday, Kobe Brown could get a spot start and there will be more minutes available for Ben Sheppard and Jalen Slawson. Check back closer to tipoff for official word on Walker's status.

  • Pacers' Jarace Walker: Questionable to play Sunday

Walker (back) is questionable to play in Sunday's game against Miami.

Walker exited Friday's game versus the Clippers to be evaluated for a concussion and didn't return. Fortunately, it appears the 22-year-old avoided a head injury, although he's still in danger of missing Sunday's contest because of a lower-back bruise. If Walker doesn't play Sunday, Kobe Brown will likely replace him in the starting lineup.

  • Pacers' Jarace Walker: Leaves early with concussion

Walker (concussion) won't return to Friday's game against the Clippers, Tony East of Forbes.com reports. He finished with five points (2-3 FG, 1-1 3Pt), one rebound and one assist in four minutes.

Walker landed hard on his head on a dunk attempt with 7:48 remaining in the first quarter and checked out of the game 11 seconds to be evaluated for a concussion. Indiana's decision to shut Walker down for the night likely indicates that he sustained a concussion, putting the third-year forward in jeopardy of missing the Pacers' next game Sunday versus the Pacers. Kobe Brown started the second half in Walker's place, and both Brown and Jalen Slawson could be in line for extra playing time if Walker ends up missing further action.

  • Pacers' Jarace Walker: Questionable to return Friday

Walker is being evaluated for a concussion and is questionable to return to Friday's game against the Clippers.

Walker appeared to hit his head early in the opening quarter and is in the locker room being evaluated for a concussion. If the 22-year-old forward is unable to return, Kobe Brown and Obi Toppin will likely help pick up the slack the rest of the way.

  • Pacers' Jarace Walker: Heading to locker room

Walker exited Friday's game against the Clippers due to an apparent head injury, Tony East of Forbes.com reports.

Walker appeared to land hard on his head after a dunk. If the 22-year-old can't return, he will finish with five points (2-3 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 0-0 FT), one rebound and one assist in four minutes.

  • Pacers' Jarace Walker: Scores 15 points in loss

Walker ended with 15 points (5-9 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six rebounds and four assists across 30 minutes during Wednesday's 137-130 loss to the Lakers.

Walker's play this season has been a bright spot in what's otherwise been a lost season for the Pacers. The third-year forward is ending the season on a strong run and has scored in double digits in each of his last eight games, averaging 15.8 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game in that span. Furthermore, Walker is averaging 14.9 points, 7.2 boards and 3.8 assists per game since the All-Star break while starting in each of his 18 appearances and averaging 31.5 minutes per game. Look for Walker to remain in the starting lineup in the final weeks of the regular season amid what has been a career-best season for him.

  • Pacers' Jarace Walker: Goes for 21 points in loss

Walker amassed 21 points (8-10 FG, 5-7 3Pt), four rebounds, four assists and one steal in 34 minutes during Saturday's 134-119 loss to San Antonio.

Walker continues to play starter-level minutes, unlike the majority of his teammates. The 21 points were the most he has scored in his past 11 games, a welcome sight for anyone considering him a drop. Given his role feels secure, Walker should be held onto in most leagues, providing managers with a solid plug-and-play option.

  • Pacers' Jarace Walker: Another serviceable effort in loss

Walker contributed 10 points (4-11 FG, 2-4 3Pt), seven rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal over 33 minutes during Wednesday's 127-119 loss to the Trail Blazers.

Walker continues to play a sizeable role, having now logged at least 30 minutes in six of the past seven games. The rotation in Indiana has been almost impossible to project over the past month, although Walker seems to have avoided all the nonsense. While his upside remains somewhat limited, he is worth rostering in most formats simply due to the fact that he plays heavy minutes on a nightly basis.

  • Pacers' Jarace Walker: Stuffs stat sheet in loss Sunday

Walker finished with 14 points (6-12 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 0-2 FT), eight rebounds, six assists and one block across 30 minutes during Sunday's 134-123 loss to the Bucks.

Walker continued to produce offensively, and the third-year forward has emerged as a reliable presence for the Pacers on both ends of the court this season. He's scored in double digits in all but two of his 13 appearances since the All-Star break, and he's taken advantage of the increased volume he's had of late. Walker has attempted at least 10 shots in all but three of his outings since the break, and although he's shooting under 45.0 percent from the field, that uptick in opportunity should boost his fantasy floor in most formats.

  • Pacers' Jarace Walker: Just misses double-double

Walker posted 18 points (6-14 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 3-4 FT), nine rebounds, three assists and one steal in 38 minutes during Friday's 101-92 loss to the Knicks.

Walker continues to produce for the Pacers, coming close to what would've been his fourth double-double of the year. Even when Pascal Siakam (knee) returns, Walker appears to be solidified as a starter. Walker has started 13 consecutive games, during which he has averaged 15.1 points, 7.7 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.2 steals in 31.2 minutes per contest.

  • Pacers' Jarace Walker: Will play Tuesday

Walker (ankle/back) is available for Tuesday's game against the Kings.

Walker was initially listed as probable due to a right ankle sprain and mid-back soreness, though he'll shed that tag and suit up Tuesday. Over his last five appearances, the 22-year-old forward has averaged 15.6 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.8 assists across 29.0 minutes per contest.

  • Pacers' Jarace Walker: Probable for Tuesday

Walker is probable for Tuesday's game against the Kings due to a right ankle sprain and mid-back soreness.

Walker tallied 14 points during Sunday's matchup against Portand but evidently emerged from the game a bit banged up. Even so, he appears on track to play Tuesday in Sacramento.

  • Pacers' Jarace Walker: Efficient in loss to Portland

Walker ended Sunday's 131-111 loss to the Trail Blazers with 14 points (5-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, one assist and two steals in 31 minutes.

The Pacers struggled massively on defense in this game, but Walker was efficient with his shot while scoring in double digits for a fifth consecutive contest. The third-year is having a career-best season in 2025-26, averaging 11.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 0.8 steals per game in 63 appearances (28 starts). The uptick in his scoring numbers has been noticeable, as Walker has scored in double digits in all but one of his last 19 contests dating back to Jan. 21. Per Dustin Dopirak of The Indianapolis Star, Walker twisted his ankle at the end of Sunday's game, and while it sounds minor, it's worth monitoring ahead of Tuesday's game in Sacramento.

  • Pacers' Jarace Walker: Solid effort in loss

Walker logged 10 points (4-9 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), nine rebounds, five assists and one steal over 27 minutes during Friday's 128-117 loss to the Lakers.

Even with Indiana getting some regular starters back recently, Walker continues to play a consistent role and put up solid numbers across the board. Since Jan. 21, Walker has appeared in 18 of Indiana's 19 games (14 starts), averaging 16.2 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.2 steals in 29.1 minutes.

  • Pacers' Jarace Walker: Puts up 17 in loss Wednesday

Walker recorded 17 points (6-12 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds and five assists across 31 minutes during Wednesday's 130-107 loss to the Clippers.

Walker is undoubtedly going through the most prominent stretch of his brief NBA career, and he's making the most of the expanded role. Walker, a first-round pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, has surpassed the 15-point line in three straight games and in five of the Pacers' seven games since the All-Star break. Over that seven-game stretch, Walker is averaging 15.9 points, 8.4 rebounds and 4.7 assists per contest. He needs to improve on his efficiency, however, as he's shooting just 41.8 percent from the floor and 34.1 percent from deep in that stretch.

  • Pacers' Jarace Walker: Leads all scorers Sunday

Walker produced 21 points (8-10 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 1-4 FT), three rebounds, two assists and one block over 25 minutes during Sunday's 125-106 loss to the Grizzlies.

Walker scored a game-high 21 points Sunday, reaching the 20-point marker for the sixth time this year. The last-place Pacers look to be just about ready to embrace a youth movement to close out a losing season, which should keep Walker close to must-roster territory in most fantasy formats. The third-year forward has started seven consecutive contests, during which Walker has averaged 16.7 points, 8.4 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.1 steals in 30.7 minutes per game.

  • Pacers' Jarace Walker: Tallies 16 points in loss

Walker closed with 16 points (7-17 FG, 2-7 3Pt), six rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 31 minutes during Thursday's 133-109 loss to Charlotte.

Walker bounced back from a tough eight-point showing Tuesday against the Sixers. He's reached double figures in the scoring column in 14 of his last 15 games and continues to add solid contributions in steals and blocks.

... See More ... See Less
  • Pacers' Jarace Walker: Another productive showing

Walker logged 18 points (6-13 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 2-5 FT), nine rebounds, six assists and two steals across 34 minutes during Sunday's 134-130 loss to Dallas.

The last-place Pacers continue to reel in the standings, but they're getting promising results from Walker when he gets the chance to start. Walker has started 10 games since the start of the new year, averaging 17.4 points, 7.2 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.5 steals in 29.3 minutes per game during this stretch. With Ivica Zubac (ankle) and Aaron Nesmith (ankle) both likely out until March, Walker remains close to a must-roster fantasy player in most formats.
