76ers' Johni Broome: Limited during rookie year
Broome racked up seven points (3-5 FG, 1-3 3Pt), one rebound and one assist over three minutes during Sunday's 144-114 loss to New York in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Broome's rookie campaign was mostly ruined by midseason knee surgery, limiting him to 11 brief regular-season appearances with the 76ers. He could move up the depth chart at center if Andre Drummond leaves during free agency this summer, but Broome's most realistic path to steady playing time is likely to lie with the G League's Delaware Blue Coats in 2026-27.

76ers' Johni Broome: Makes garbage-time cameo
Broome played the final 4:33 of Monday's 137-98 loss to the Knicks in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals, recording zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and one rebound.
The rookie second-round pick out of Auburn underwent a successful partial meniscectomy on his right knee Feb. 28 and was sidelined for about seven weeks before being cleared to play in advance of the 76ers' first-round playoff matchup with the Celtics. He didn't make any appearances during Philadelphia's seven-game series victory, but after Monday's series opener with the Knicks devolved into a blowout in the second half, Broome was able to make his postseason debut in garbage time. Broome will continue to be held out of Philadelphia's rotation in more competitive contests for the duration of the 76ers' playoff run.

76ers' Johni Broome: Off injury report
Broome (knee) is not listed on the Sixers' injury report ahead of Game 1 against the Celtics on Sunday.
Broome underwent surgery in February to repair a torn meniscus. He has progressed enough in his recovery to be available for the opening round of the Eastern Conference playoffs, but Broome is unlikely to be a part of the 76ers' rotation, given his lack of playing time when available during the regular season.

Broome is out for Wednesday's Play-In Tournament game against the Hornets due to right knee surgery recovery.
The rookie second-rounder underwent surgery in February to repair a torn meniscus, and he remains in recovery mode. Broome has no timetable for a return and can be deemed doubtful for future contests, barring an update from the 76ers to suggest otherwise.

Broome remains without a timeline to return while recovering from February surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee. It's unclear whether he'll be available for the start of the 76ers' postseason run, though he would unlikely play even if he was cleared to suit up.

76ers' Johni Broome: Remaining out for Thursday
Broome (knee) is listed as out for Thursday's game against Houston.
Broome underwent surgery in February to repair a meniscus tear in his right knee. However, he remains without a clear timetable for a return. The 23-year-old has averaged 0.9 points, 1.5 rebounds, 0.4 assists, 0.2 blocks and 0.3 steals across 5.0 minutes in 11 appearances for Philadelphia this season, so his continued absence won't have much of an impact on the rotation.

76ers' Johni Broome: Listed out for Wednesday
Broome (knee) won't play Wednesday against the Wizards.
Broome went under the knife at the end of February to repair a lateral meniscus tear in his right knee, and the Sixers have yet to provide much of an update on a timeline for his return. He was scheduled to be re-evaluated one month from his surgery date, so more information could come to light in the coming days. For now, he can be considered doubtful for Friday's matchup against Minnesota.

76ers' Johni Broome: To be re-evaluated in four weeks
Broome underwent a successful partial meniscectomy Saturday to address a lateral meniscus tear in his right knee, and he'll be re-evaluated in four weeks, Adam Zagoria of ZagsBlog.com reports.
While the 76ers previously noted that surgery could potentially end the rookie's season, a meniscectomy typically carries a shorter recovery timeline of 4-to-6 weeks compared to a full repair. Broome sustained the injury Feb. 21 while playing for the G League's Delaware Blue Coats. The second-round pick out of Auburn has appeared in just 11 games for Philadelphia this regular season, averaging 0.9 points and 1.5 rebounds in 5.0 minutes per contest.

76ers' Johni Broome: Surgery scheduled for Saturday
Broome is set to undergo meniscus surgery Saturday, Kyle Neubeck of AllPHLY.com reports.
The 76ers will likely update Broome's timetable post-surgery, but head coach Nick Nurse said there's a chance this will end Broome's season. That said, he's been a negligible part of the rotation for the 76ers this year, so Broome's absence from the active roster won't impact fantasy leagues.

76ers' Johni Broome: Sidelined with meniscus tear
The 76ers announced that Broome sustained a lateral meniscus tear in his right knee while playing for the G League's Delaware Blue Coats on Saturday, Kyle Neubeck of AllPHLY.com reports.
The 76ers' medical staff will conduct additional tests on Broome's knee before a determination is made whether he'll require a meniscectomy or a full repair of the meniscus. If the latter procedure is required, Broome would be sidelined for the rest of the season. A meniscectomy, meanwhile, typically carries a 4-to-6-week recovery timeline, which would give Broome a chance at playing again this season. Though he's been a member of the 76ers' 15-man roster all season, Broome has made just 11 appearances at the NBA level and has averaged 0.9 points and 1.5 rebounds in 5.0 minutes per contest.
