76ers' Johni Broome: Likely available Thursday
Broome (rest) is expected to be available for Thursday's preseason game against the Knicks, Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice.com reports.
Broome took a seat after dropping a couple of double-doubles during his first Summer League action, but he'll be back in action during the preseason opener. The second-round pick out of Auburn is competing for a depth spot as a rookie, but he'll likely have to spend the majority of his time in the G League.

Broome notched a double-double in Tuesday's double-digit win and has been a steady presence in the 76ers' Summer League rotation. The big man is coming off an All-American campaign at Auburn, where he averaged 18.6 points, 10.8 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.1 blocks across 36 games.

76ers' Johni Broome: Scooped up by 76ers
Broome was selected by Philadelphia with the No. 35 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.
Broome is fresh off a strong senior season at Auburn, where he earned First Team All-American honors and was named the SEC Player of the Year while leading his team to a Final Four. The 6-10 big man averaged 18.6 points, 10.8 rebounds, 2.9 rebounds, 2.1 blocks and 0.9 steals over 36 appearances during his final collegiate campaign. Broome's skillset may not translate to him becoming an above-the-rim player at the NBA level, but he's an excellent offensive rebounder and manages to create space near the hoop.
