  • Jordan Caroline: Heads overseas

Caroline (groin) signed a contract Friday with Israeli club Hapoel Eliat.

Caroline most recently played with the G League's South Bay Lakers, with his last appearance for the club coming in late January before a groin injury sidelined him for the next month and a half. With the G League canceling the remainder of its season in March, Caroline, now healthy, is able to pursue work overseas. Prior to getting hurt, Caroline averaged 11.6 points, 8.1 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.3 three-pointers in 21.8 minutes per game over 15 appearances with South Bay.

A timeline for his return has not been made clear. The 23-year-old previously underwent surgery on his left foot Sept. 6, after which he was waived by the Lakers during his recovery period.

Playing in his first game of the season, Caroline came off the bench hot with a double-double (12 points, 11 rebounds) across 21 minutes. After undergoing surgery on his left foot Sept. 6, the 23-year-old was waived by the Lakers during his recovery period.

  • Jordan Caroline: Waived by Lakers

Caroline (hand) was waived by the Lakers on Friday.

Caroline underwent hand surgery in late September, and it appears the Lakers weren't committed to keeping him on the roster while he recovered. In a related move, the team agreed to a contract with David Stockton.

  • Lakers' Jordan Caroline: To miss time following surgery

Caroline underwent surgery on his left hand Sept. 6 and is expected to remain out until the beginning of November, Mark Stein of The New York Times reports.

Caroline's surgery was successful, but he won't be cleared for game action until early-to-mid-November at the earliest. This shouldn't have much of an impact on the Lakers, considering Caroline wasn't expected to contribute much this season.
