Blues' Nathan Walker: Garners helper in win
Walker recorded an assist, two shots on goal and two blocked shots in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Flames.
Walker has started 2025-26 on the fourth line, though the Blues have leaned heavily on their top players early in the campaign. He shouldn't have much trouble staying in the lineup while Alexei Toropchenko (upper body) and Oskar Sundqvist (lower body) are out. Walker set career highs in points (16), hits (281), PIM (63) and games played (73) in the 2024-25 regular season, which may give him some appeal in deeper banger formats.

Blues' Tyler Tucker: Picks up helper Saturday
Tucker registered an assist and five PIM in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Flames.
Tucker's usage was limited to 8:19 of ice time, down from 15:26 in the season opener Thursday versus the Wild. For now, he's holding off Matt Kessel for a third-pairing job. Tucker brings some grit for the Blues after posting 81 hits, 39 blocked shots and 55 PIM in addition to a career-high seven points in 38 regular-season games last year.

Blues' Joel Hofer: Looks good in first start of season
Hofer made 27 saves in a 4-2 win over Calgary on Saturday.
It was his first start of the season. Matt Coronato had Hofer's number, putting up both Calgary snipes. The first one redirected off a Flames defender; the second beat him high glove on a break. Hofer's fantasy value comes in spot starts, as the emerging netminder continues to grow his skills behind Jordan Binnington. He does have the ability to step into the starter's role in the event of a Binner injury, so he's a good stash.

Blues' Pius Suter: First goal with new team
Suter scored a goal Saturday in a 4-2 win over Calgary.
It was a tip-in and his first goal this year. Suter joined the Blues in the offseason after recording the best offensive season of his career. He scored 25 goals and put up 46 points in 81 regular-season games with the Canucks. But temper your expectations -- Suter's 18.1 shooting percentage was unsustainable, and his goal total could be lower this season. Still, it was a nice-looking goal in Saturday's win, and he could be a solid source of depth scoring for the Blues in 2025-26.

Blues' Jake Neighbours: Two goals including winner
Neighbours scored two goals in a 4-2 win over the Flames on Saturday.
Neighbours took a pass from pivot Robert Thomas and backhanded the puck under Dustin Wolf mid-way through the second period to knot the score 1-1. The 23-year-old Neighbours also tipped in a Colton Parayko shot at the midway point of the third to put the Blues up for good. Neighbours is coming off a 22-goal, 46-point 2024-25 regular season, with 12 power-play points, and could reach 60 points this campaign.

Blues' Robert Thomas: Shows off sniping skills in win
Thomas scored a goal and added an assist in a 4-2 win over the Flames on Saturday.
His goal was a beauty. Thomas took a pass deep below the left circle, stepped up, wheeled and wired a sharp-angle wrist shot far top corner over Dustin Wolf's glove. It came on the power play; it was his first of the season. Thomas has two consecutive 80-plus point seasons, including strong power-play production. He led the Blues in scoring both years.

Blues' Alexei Toropchenko: Unavailable Saturday
Toropchenko won't be in the lineup against Calgary on Saturday because of upper and lower-body injuries, according to Chris Pinkert of the Blues' official site.
Toropchenko had one shot on goal, one hit and one blocked shot in Thursday's 4-0 loss to Minnesota. Consider him day-to-day for now. With Toropchenko unavailable to play, Alexandre Texier will likely draw into Saturday's lineup versus the Flames.

Blues' Joel Hofer: Expected to face Calgary
Hofer is slated to guard the road goal against Calgary on Saturday.
Hofer is looking for his first start of the campaign after Jordan Binnington turned aside 18 of 21 shots en route to a 5-0 loss to Minnesota in the Blues' opener Thursday. Hofer had an 18-8-3 record, 2.64 GAA and .904 save percentage in 31 regular-season appearances for the Blues last year. The 25-year-old Hofer is likely to get a similar workload in 2025-26 as Binnington's understudy.

Blues' Alexei Toropchenko: In doubt Saturday
Toropchenko is dealing with upper and lower-body injuries and is questionable to face the Flames on Saturday, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.
The Blues didn't offer much in the way of details other than to say Toropchenko was sore. At this point, given that the winger might be dealing with multiple injuries, it seems unlikely he'll be ready to face the Flames. Last season, the Russian notched four goals and 14 helpers in 80 regular-season tilts, missing the 20-point threshold for the second time in the last three years.

Blues' Jordan Binnington: Woeful showing versus Minnesota
Binnington stopped 16 of 21 shots in Thursday's 5-0 loss to the Wild.
Binnington was stellar in the preseason after posting a .973 save percentage on 73 shots faced, but he was unable to carry over those strong numbers in the campaign opener. Binnington went 28-22-5 with a 2.69 GAA and a .900 save percentage across 56 regular-season appearances in 2024-25, so there's a strong chance this subpar showing was just a one-off performance from the veteran netminder. Binnington will aim to bounce back when the Blues take on the Flames on Saturday.

Blues' Justin Carbonneau: Racking up goals in junior play
Carbonneau scored twice and added an assist in QMJHL Blainville-Boisbriand's 10-4 win over Newfoundland on Thursday.
This was Carbonneau's second multi-goal game since rejoining the Armada after attending the Blues' training camp. He has five points in three outings this season. While he's not yet close to the NHL, the 18-year-old winger should continue to be one of the QMJHL's best scorers this year before challenging for a job in St. Louis next fall.

Blues' Justin Faulk: Good to face Minnesota
Faulk (mouth) is set to play Thursday versus Minnesota, per Lou Korac of NHL.com.
Faulk is projected to serve on the second pairing alongside Philip Broberg. The 33-year-old Faulk is also slated to have a power-play role, which is important for his production -- 12 of his 32 points in the 2024-25 regular season were recorded with the man advantage.

Blues' Jordan Binnington: Between pipes Thursday
Binnington will patrol the home crease Opening Night versus Minnesota on Thursday, per Matthew DeFranks of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Binnington was stellar in preseason action, allowing only two goals on 73 shots (.973 save percentage). The 32-year-old netminder was 28-22-5 with a 2.69 GAA and a .900 save percentage across 56 regular-season appearances in 2024-25.

Blues' Georgi Romanov: Inks one-year deal
Romanov signed a one-year, two-way contract with St. Louis on Wednesday.
Romanov attended New Jersey's training camp on a PTO, but he ultimately didn't land a contract with the Devils. Still, the 25-year-old has managed to earn a two-way deal, though Romanov is projected to begin the campaign in the minors. Romanov had a record of 0-6-0 with a 3.88 GAA and an .877 save percentage across eight appearances with the Sharks in 2024-25.

Blues' Nick Bjugstad: Recovers from illness
Bjugstad (illness) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, per Lou Korac of NHL.com.
Bjugstad should be fine for the Blues' season opener against Minnesota on Thursday after missing Tuesday's practice. He had eight goals and 19 points in 66 regular-season outings with Utah in 2024-25. The 33-year-old will likely center the fourth line versus the Wild.
