2026 World Cup Kalshi trading preview

After years of questions about whether Lionel Messi would ever lead Argentina to glory in a major tournament, the eight-time Ballon d'Or winner has captained Argentina to victories in each of their last three big events. He ended a 28-year Copa America drought in 2021, led Argentina to its first World Cup victory in 36 years in 2022 and then won another Copa America in 2024. Now Messi will wear the captain's armband again and Argentina is priced at 8.9 cents per share to win World Cup 2026.

Their archrivals Brazil are five-time World Cup winners, but haven't been back to a final since last winning in 2002. They've also been on a seven-year drought at Copa America and were shockingly eliminated in the quarterfinals in 2024 (which also took place in the United States). Carlo Ancelotti has since taken over as the manager and Brazil has won friendlies over Croatia, Panama and Egypt in the run up to the tournament. They're priced at 8.0 per share to win.

Germany and Italy are both four-time World Cup winners, but with Italy failing to qualify, the Germans are the only nation that can join Brazil as five-time world champions. After winning the 2014 World Cup, Germany failed to advance beyond the group stage in 2018 and 2022. However, they did finish fourth in UEFA Nations League last year and have won nine matches in a row dating back to last year. Kalshi prices Germany at 6.0 cents per share to win the World Cup. Claim the latest Kalshi promo code CBSSPORTS when you sign up for Kalshi here:
