Woo put pen to paper on a two-year, two-way contract with Anaheim on Wednesday, Rick Dhaliwal of CHEK reports.
Woo has yet to make his NHL debut despite being selected by the Cancuks in the second round of the 2018 NHL Draft. Woo was traded to the Sharks from the Canucks on Thursday in exchange for Jack Thompson.
Woo has yet to appear in an NHL game despite having been selected by the Canucks in the second round of the 2018 NHL Draft. In his 26 minor-league outings this year, the 25-year-old blueliner has managed just one goal and seven assists. With the move, Woo will get a chance at a fresh start as he switches places with fellow minor-league defensman Thompson.

Woo (upper body) was placed on waivers by the Canucks on Monday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
With his waiver designation, Woo will have been medically cleared by the team and should be headed for AHL Abbotsford, assuming he passes through waivers. The 25-year-old defenseman has never appeared in an NHL game, so it would be a little surprising to see a team pick him up. Woo generated 18 points in 67 regular-season games for Abbotsford last year and should be on the short list of potential call-ups once he gets his legs under him.

Woo is month-to-month after undergoing offseason surgery to address an upper-body injury. He had two goals and 18 points in 67 regular-season appearances for AHL Abbotsford in 2024-25. Once he's healthy, he could be waived by the Canucks to return him to the minors, or he could stay with the big club as a depth defender.

Woo had surgery for an upper-body injury in the offseason and is considered month-to-month, Patrick Johnston of The Province reports Wednesday.
Woo likely wouldn't be an option for the NHL roster anyway, but the 25-year-old blueliner is on a two-way contract this year. He sustained the injury last season and played through it during AHL Abbotsford's playoff run. In the likely event Woo's recovery lasts into the regular season, he may begin 2025-26 on the Canucks' injured non-roster list until he is cleared to play.
