Chargers' Ladd McConkey: Hits pay dirt for first time in '25
McConkey brought in five of seven targets for 39 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-10 loss to the Commanders.
McConkey responded well coming off of his worst receiving line as a pro last week (1-11-0), grabbing five receptions and his first touchdown of the 2025 season in a losing effort. The 23-year-old finished behind only Keenan Allen (nine) in targets Sunday, maintaining the former's healthy average of 6.8 targets per game through five weeks. McConkey will attempt to ride the momentum from Sunday's strong fantasy performance into a road tilt against the Dolphins in Week 6.

Chargers' Ladd McConkey: Can't get on same page as Herbert
McConkey caught just one of six targets for 11 yards in Sunday's 21-18 loss to the Giants.
Justin Herbert had his worst game of the season to date, but Quentin Johnston (8-98-1 on 13 targets) still put together a strong performance while Keenan Allen (5-37-0 on seven targets) maintained a solid floor. McConkey, on the other hand, failed to catch multiple passes in a game for the first time in his career. The 2024 second-round pick showed too much chemistry with Herbert as a rookie to think he's suddenly going to disappear from the Chargers' game plan, but McConkey will be tough to have active in most fantasy formats until he begins to show the same kind of spark he did last year. He'll look to begin a breakout Week 5 against the Commanders.

Chargers' Ladd McConkey: Takes back seat in win
McConkey caught four of his seven targets for 41 yards in the 23-20 win over the Broncos on Sunday.
McConkey came up with a few critical chain-moving receptions but otherwise was kept in check for a third consecutive week. At this point it certainly seems like Keenan Allen (11 targets) has re-emerged as Justin Herbert's favorite intermediate target, and the blossoming of third-year wide receiver Quentin Johnston into a bona fide option has carved into McConkey's work more. Perhaps backing up some relevant fantasy concerns, the second-year wideout's subpar yardage figure came despite Herbert attempting 47 passes, his most since 2023.

Chargers' Ladd McConkey: Practices fully Thursday
McConkey (biceps) practiced fully Thursday.
After not practicing Wednesday due to a listed biceps issue, McConkey was full a day later while sporting a brace on his left arm/shoulder, per Daniel Popper of The Athletic. The wideout's upgrade to all on-field participation Thursday paves the way for him to maintain his key role Sunday against the Broncos in a Chargers WR corps that also features Quentin Johnston and Keenan Allen. Through two regular-season games to date, McConkey has recorded an 11-122-0 line on 14 targets.
