Jets' Brady Cook: Named Week 15 starter
Coach Aaron Glenn confirmed Friday that Cook will start Sunday's game against the Jaguars.
With both Tyrod Taylor (groin) and Justin Fields (knee) dealing with injuries and out this week, per Eric Allen of the Jets' official site, Cook, who joined the team as an undrafted free agent after the 2025 Draft, is slated to make his first career NFL regular season start this weekend, while Adrian Martinez is in line to be elevated from the practice squad to serve as his backup, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. In that context, the Missouri product represents an option for those in QB-friendly formats or are otherwise in need of help at the position Week 15.

Jets' Brady Cook: Trending toward Week 15 start
Cook is likely to start Sunday's game against the Jaguars, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports, as Tyrod Taylor (groin) and Justin Fields (knee) both remained sidelined at Thursday's practice.
Cook has handled first-team reps in practice while preparing to make his first NFL start Sunday at Jacksonville. Taylor and Fields both appear likely to sit out Sunday's game. The Jets signed Adrian Martinez, whom Cook beat out for a spot with the team after the preseason, to their practice squad Wednesday. Cook saw his first regular-season NFL action in relief of Taylor in the Jets' Week 14 loss to the Dolphins.

Jets' Brady Cook: Gets all first-team reps Wednesday
Cook will get all the first-team reps at Wednesday's practice, while neither Tyrod Taylor (groin) or Justin Fields (knee) will practice in any capacity, Eric Allen of the Jets' official site reports.
Cook is the only healthy quarterback on the roster for the Jets as they begin preparing for Sunday's game against the Jaguars, though New York added Adrian Martinez to the mix Wednesday by signing Martinez to the practice squad. If Taylor and Fields are both unavailable Sunday, Cook would be in line to make his first NFL start. Cook saw his first regular-season NFL action in this past Sunday's 34-10 loss to the Dolphins after Taylor exited in the first half. The undrafted rookie out of Missouri completed 14 of 30 passes for 163 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions against Miami.

Jets' Brady Cook: Struggles in relief
Cook completed 14 of 30 passes for 163 yards, with no touchdowns and two interceptions after replacing the injured Tyrod Taylor (groin) in the first half of Sunday's 34-10 loss to the Dolphins. Cook also rushed once for no gain.
Cook dressed as the backup in the absence of Justin Fields (knee), and the undrafted rookie out of Missouri was pressed into action after Taylor got hurt. The Jets' only touchdown came on a punt return as Cook led one field-goal drive and turned it over twice. Cook would likely make his first NFL start in Week 15 at Jacksonville if neither Taylor nor Fields gets clearance to play.
