Colts' Josh Downs: Returns to full practice
Downs (hip) practiced fully Thursday.
After missing Wednesday's session, Downs' return to a full practice a day later paves the way for him to be available Sunday against the Steelers. With a 29-256-2 receiving line on 37 targets through seven games thus far, Downs -- who has scored in each his last two appearances -- continues to provide fantasy utility while working within a wideout corps that also features Michael Pittman and Alec Pierce.

Colts' Josh Downs: Back at practice Thursday
Downs (hip) was on the field for practice Thursday, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
Downs sat out Wednesday's session, but his return to the field a day later bodes well for his Week 9 availability. The Colts will release their second practice report of the week later Thursday, when it will be known whether the wideout was a limited or full participant.

Colts' Josh Downs: Misses practice Wednesday
Downs (hip) didn't practice Wednesday.
In his return from a concussion in the Colts' Week 8 win over the Titans, Downs was on the field for 64 percent of the team's snaps on offense en route to catching all three of his targets for 39 yards and a touchdown. He now has two more chances to practice fully before the Colts' final injury report is posted head of Sunday's game against the Steelers. Also missing practice Wednesday was fellow wideout Anthony Gould (knee), which currently leaves Michael Pittman, Alec Pierce, Ashton Dulin and Adonai Mitchell as Indy's top healthy options at the position.

Colts' Josh Downs: Scores in return to action Sunday
Downs (concussion) brought in all three of his targets for 39 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 38-14 rout of the Titans.
Downs returned from a one-game layoff after clearing the league's concussion protocol to reclaim a starting role in Indianapolis' receiver rotation. The 23-year-old picked up where he left off when he scored his first touchdown of the season in his last appearance against the Cardinals in Week 6. Downs will attempt to hit pay dirt for the third time in as many appearances when the Colts visit the Steelers next Sunday.

Colts' Josh Downs: Set to return Sunday
Coach Shane Steichen said Friday that Downs has cleared concussion protocol and will play Sunday against the Titans, Amanda Foster of the Colts' official site reports.
The wideout was trending in the right direction after practicing fully Thursday, and with Downs past the concussion that sidelined him Week 7, he'll reclaim his role in a Colts' WR corps that also features Michael Pittman and Alec Pierce. In six games prior to his concussion, Downs compiled a 26-217-1 line on 34 targets, a pace that has given the 2023 third-rounder a degree of fantasy utility in deeper formats and makes him a lineup option for those in need of WR help with six teams on bye this week.

Downs (concussion) practiced fully Thursday.
After returning to a limited practice Wednesday, Downs -- who was inactive Week 7 -- upgraded to full participation a day later while shedding his non-contact jersey in the process, per James Boyd of The Athletic. Friday's injury report will reveal whether Downs carries an injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Titans or is fully cleared to reclaim his role in a Colts WR corps that also features Michael Pittman and Alec Pierce.

Colts' Josh Downs: Limited in return to practice
Downs (concussion) was limited at practice Wednesday.
Downs didn't practice last week before being ruled out ahead of this past Sunday's 38-24 win over the Chargers. With a return to practice, albeit in a limited capacity, the wideout is trending in the right direction as this weekend's game against the Titans approaches. Also making strides toward a return to action in Week 8 is fellow WR Ashton Dulin (chest), who practiced fully Wednesday.
