Rams' Harrison Mevis: Signed to active roster
The Rams signed Mevis to their active roster Wednesday.
The team previously called Mevis up from the practice squad to kick in Weeks 10 and 11. Joshua Karty is also still on the roster, but Mevis figures to get the nod again this Sunday against Tampa Bay.

Rams' Harrison Mevis: Put back on practice squad
The Rams reverted Mevis to their practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Mevis served as Los Angeles' kicker for the second straight week with Joshua Karty a healthy scratch. Mevis hasn't had a chance to really show off his leg, as the Rams haven't called upon him to kick a field goal in either of his two games. However, the Missouri product has performed as well as possible by making all nine of his extra-point tries. It seems likely that Mevis will be Los Angeles' kicker again versus Tampa Bay on Sunday, though he has only one practice-squad elevation remaining before he'd need to be signed to the active roster.

Rams' Harrison Mevis: No FGAs in win
Mevis did not attempt a field goal and made all three of his PATs in Sunday's 21-19 win over the Seahawks.
Mevis was once again unable to try a field goal in Week 11, marking the second consecutive game that he's failed to do so as the Rams' kicker. The 23-year-old has been operating ahead of Joshua Karty with Los Angeles, and Mevis can be elevated one more time before the team would have to officially sign him to the active roster. Mevis has done nothing to lose the job to this point, making all nine of his extra-point tries over two contests.

Rams' Harrison Mevis: Kicking again in Week 11
Mevis is active and will serve as the Rams' placekicker Sunday against the Seahawks with Joshua Karty a healthy scratch, Stu Jackson of the team's official site reports.
Mevis was elevated for a second week in a row to handle kicks for Los Angeles. During last Sunday's win at San Francisco, he connected on all six point-after tries while not attempting a field goal.

Rams' Harrison Mevis: Elevated for Week 11 start
The Rams elevated Mevis from the practice squad Saturday in preparation for him to start versus the Seahawks on Sunday.
Head coach Sean McVay has already confirmed that Mevis will start at home versus Seattle on Sunday, while Joshua Karty will serve as the team's No. 2 kicker. In his first regular-season action of the year, Los Angeles' win over the 49ers in Week 10, Mevis converted all six of his extra-point tries but wasn't tasked with attempting a field goal. After Sunday's game, the Rams will be able to elevate Mevis from the practice squad for just one more contest, after which point he'll need to sign with the team's 53-man roster in order to log any more starts.

Rams' Harrison Mevis: Reverts to PS for procedural reason
Mevis reverted to the Rams' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
In his first taste of NFL regular-season action Sunday versus San Francisco, Mevis didn't attempt a field goal but made all six of his extra-point tries. Rams coach Sean McVay said Monday that Mevis will again be the team's kicker Sunday against Seattle, so Mevis' reversion to the practice squad is a procedural move since he's not technically on the 53-man roster. Look for Mevis to be elevated again this weekend ahead of Sunday's big NFC West clash.

Rams' Harrison Mevis: Will again handle kicking duties
Coach Sean McVay announced Monday that Mevis will once again handle kicking duties for the Rams next Sunday against the Seahawks, Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Mevis was elevated from the practice squad over the weekend and got the nod over struggling Joshua Karty against San Francisco, and Mevis responded by making all six of his extra-point tries. Karty remains on the 53-man roster, but Mevis can continue to be elevated from the practice squad the next few weeks while the Rams figure out their kicking situation down the stretch ahead of a possible postseason run. Kicking in the Los Angeles offense makes Mevis a desirable fantasy target at the position.

Rams' Harrison Mevis: Converts all six kicks in NFL debut
Mevis knocked down all six of his extra-point attempts in the Rams' 42-26 win over the 49ers on Sunday.
Mevis was elevated from the practice squad Saturday to handle kicking duties after the Rams elected to make Joshua Karty inactive for the contest due to his struggles in the first half of the season. Though the Rams didn't turn to Mevis for any high-pressure kicks in his NFL debut, the 23-year-old converted on his six extra-point attempts without issue. Though Karty remains on the 53-man roster, Mevis is likely to get elevated from the practice squad once again to kick for the Rams in next Sunday's home game versus the Seahawks.

Rams' Harrison Mevis: Elevated from PS, kicking Week 10
The Rams elevated Mevis from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday.
Mevis signed with the Rams' practice squad Wednesday, and he will replace Joshua Karty as the starting kicker against the 49ers on Sunday, per Adam Schefter of ESPN. Mevis has not attempted a field goal or PAT in a regular-season game since joining the league in May of 2024 as an undrafted free agent. However, he should have fantasy value for a Rams team whose offense averages 369.9 yards and 26.1 points per game, which are ranked seventh and eighth best, respectively, in the NFL this season.

Harrison Mevis: Kicking for Rams this week
Mevis will be the Rams' kicker Sunday at San Francisco, Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Mevis signed with the Rams' practice squad Wednesday to compete with struggling kicker Joshua Karty. Two days later, Rams coach Sean McVay named Mevis as the winner of the competition, at least for now. It's a job with potential for fantasy value, as the Rams have largely played well on both offense and defense this season.

Harrison Mevis: In competition for starting job
Mevis will compete with Josh Karty to serve as the Rams' kicker in Week 10 against the 49ers, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.
Mevis joined the Rams' practice squad Wednesday and will immediately have the chance to contribute. Joshua Karty is the incumbent kicker for the team, but he has missed at least one kick in three of his last four games and is just 10-for-15 on field-goal attempts this season.

Harrison Mevis: Joins Rams' practice squad
The Rams signed Mevis to their practice squad Wednesday.
The Missouri product competed with Nick Folk for the Jets' top placekicking spot throughout the preseason but ultimately lost the job. Now in Los Angeles, Mevis gives the Rams another option at kicker, as Joshua Karty has converted on just 10 of his 15 field-goal attempts through eight games this season.

Harrison Mevis: Let go by NYJ
The Jets cut Mevis from the practice squad Tuesday, Susanna Weir of the team's official site reports.
The move makes room on the Jets' practice squad for defensive back Nik Needham. Mevis wasn't able to make the Jets' 53-man roster after he failed to beat out Nick Folk for kicking duties, and the former will look for his next opportunity elsewhere. He has not played in a regular-season game since signing with the Panthers as an undrafted free agent in April of 2024.

Harrison Mevis: Practice-squad bound
Mevis signed with the Jets' practice squad Wednesday.
Mevis impressed in the UFL during the 2025 season, connecting on 20 of 21 field-goal attempts. He hit three of four field goals during the preseason but missed his lone attempt from beyond 50 yards. Meanwhile, veteran Nick Folk won the kicking job after a perfect preseason in addition to a lengthy track record. Mevis will be the next man up in case Folk gets injured or his accuracy drops off.

Harrison Mevis: Loses kicking competition
Mevis was waived Tuesday, Randy Lange and Eric Allen of the Jets' official site report.
Mevis was considered the underdog in the team's kicking competition after the Jets signed Nick Folk in July, and the team will indeed go with the veteran Folk to begin the season. Mevis has yet to kick in a regular-season NFL game, but injuries or struggles from kickers across the league could open up an opportunity at some point for the former UFL standout.

Jets' Harrison Mevis: Misses 55-yard attempt Friday
Mevis missed his only field-goal attempt from 55 yards in Friday's 19-17 preseason loss to the Eagles.
Mevis has a bigger leg than Nick Folk, but the latter's accuracy already had Folk pegged as the favorite in the Jets' kicking competition, and Friday's results may have sealed the deal for Folk, who made his only field-goal attempt from 41 yards. The Jets will almost certainly cut down to one kicker prior to the Sept. 7 regular-season opener against the Steelers.
