Gray recorded five total tackles (four solo) in Sunday's 38-14 loss to the Colts.
Gray finished tied for the team lead in takedowns, but the five stops did match a season low for the linebacker. He had produced double-digit tackles in four straight games ahead of Week 8, but he'll now look to get back on track when the team hosts the Chargers in Week 9.

Gray continued his productive 2025 season Sunday by leading the Titans in tackles. He has posted double-digit stops in four consecutive games, and his 70 tackles through seven regular-season games is tied with Jamien Sherwood for third most in the NFL behind Jordyn Brooks (75) and Bobby Wagner (73).

Gray started alongside Cody Barton in the middle of the Tennessee defense and finished one tackle behind Barton for the team lead. While Barton played all 76 defensive snaps, Gray was in on 62 and played another 11 on special teams. Once active, the rookie operated primarily as a special-teams option, but he did have a massive Week 16 performance against the Colts, compiling 15 total tackles (nine solo). Gray recorded 15 total tackles (nine solo) in Sunday's 38-30 loss to the Colts.
With Kenneth Murray (hamstring), Luke Gifford (concussion), Otis Reese (ankle), Jack Gibbens (ankle) and Chance Campbell (knee) all dealing with injuries, Gray played a season-high 35 defensive snaps in Sunday's loss. The North Carolina product entered Week 16 with just three total tackles, but he led Tennessee's defense with a whopping 15 stops. With the Titans already eliminated from playoff contention, don't be surprised if Gray sees more defensive work in the team's final two games, especially after his impressive performance Sunday.

Titans' Cedric Gray: Nearing return
Gray (shoulder) was activated from injured reserve Monday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Gray was designated to return from IR on Oct. 7, opening his 21-day practice window. With that window set to close, Tennessee moved the North Carolina product to the 53-man roster, and he is seemingly ready to make his NFL debut Sunday against the Patriots.

Gray (shoulder) has been ruled out for Sunday's Week 8 game against New England.
Gray will need to wait at least one more week before making his NFL debut. The rookie linebacker has been on IR since the start of the campaign but was designated to return Oct. 7. Though he won't play against the Patriots on Sunday, Gray was able to log a trio of full practices this week. His 21-day practice window expires Monday, so Tennessee will need to either activate him then or rule him out for the remainder of the campaign.

The fourth-round rookie is still waiting to make his NFL debut but has been practicing fully the last couple weeks as he works his way back from a nerve-related issue. The Titans have another week of practices before they need to activate Gray or have him revert to IR for the remainder of the season.
